Why are Level 2s Going Straight into Heists

For the love of God, go play some Gerald missions and find out how to play the game before ruining a heist for everyone involved by not even knowing the basics!

They read $100,000 and go straight in to it as soon as they insert the game. I know it's been mentioned before but we need a level cap. Plus, they're missing out on some great early missions by not bothering to level up and grind.

This is why I kick anyone under level 100 from my lobby when playing with randoms.

I quick joined a heist and landed up in the Pacific standard finale, the other three were levels 56, 12 and 8.

Uhm, yeah right... you enjoy it!

I saw a level 1 once in a lobby, good lawd no thank you.

People automatically think they're badass anyway.

Which is also the reason why low level and dumbos play Hard in missions with handgun equipped in hand and no armor, then go rambo and die.

I don't think I did a mission until I was level 5. I drove around having fun and honing my skills.

They're secondary characters...you don't get invites until you have completed the tutorial which will leave you at atleast level 4-5...

Well they must have returned from a coma then because they're absolutely awful. Even so, level 4 or 5 isn't even remotely high enough to complete a heist on hard unless you're one hell of a player.

Don't act like you wouldn't be either if heists had been released when the game was very first released. Heists are what have been hyped up as the second coming of Christ, so of course people are going to spring for playing heists before anything else.

It sounds to me like you're the one who's not so bright for not leaving when a level 2 came into the heist lobby. Also "They're missing out on great missions to grind"? Like what? It's not fun to grind missions...

You can skip the tutorial even if its your very first time on GTA Online.

If they are people's secondary characters, then they really ought to know better. Even on easy setting, you only need fart in the direction of a level 2 and it's game over.

It is fun to progress through the easy missions and gain skills you need for heists. It's how the game is intended to be played, hence some missions only opening at later levels. It isn't fun to get killed in a heist every 10 seconds ruining it for everyone else.

Not really. I have a level 15 secondary and man, GTA Online is so so so much easier for new users now that they have instant access to weapons like the Special Carbine or the Homing Launcher whereas I had to get by with the Uzi and SMG for a good while with my main.

player.level != player.skill

I have seen low levels beast a heist while it's the 100+ players who keep dying. You should really stop judging players by their level.

I recently started a new character on a new account...I couldn't skip the tutorial. Parts of it can be skipped, for example not playing the LTS but you can't skip all of it.

There clearly is a correlation between level and skill but there are other factors

There isn't a correlation at all. I have just started a new character...does that mean I am suddenly worse at the game than I was on my main? No. People roll up on me expecting an easy kill and I just take a dump on them. 99% of the missions I've done have been solo, on hard with no failures. Equally a player coming from GTA4 would be totally fresh to GTA5 but could well still have the skill without the level or experience.
