It will be in like 3 years because seriously, the prices for decent 4k gaming cards will be much lower. With that said, I don't think the jump from 1080p to 4k is nearly as big as the jump from 480p or 720p to 1080. Technically it is, counting pixels, but our eyes have their limits as well. I would rather the standar was 1440p and they used the remaining processing power for cool stuff like advanced physics engine and better/more AI, etc. Graphics matter but gameplay triumphs all.
