Well I'm not expecting an update with new content but they may issue an update to try and fix online stability/bugs/glitches in game.

 

As for mods for the PC it's going to be interesting to see R* stance on that, will they allow PC modders to go unpatched or will they attempt

to remove them like they have done with the console versions of the game, I have no plans to be playing on PC anyway.

The PC is supposedly getting new content (weapons, vehicles), but how much and exactly what, no-one knows as I'm writing this (six hours to unlock).

 

Someone on these forums said they spotted a Glock in one of the new screenshots that released today...

OH and there should be a considerable amount of people that play on consoles that will buy this for PC. THink about it. You want a specific car, make it. Want more interiors, make them. Want Free roam with no police, do it. All the stuff that people want, and R* don't deliver, mod it in.

I'm sure R* has some sort of file checker to make sure you're not using different things in online. what happens if you have a modded car someone else doesn't have? It will be like the tow truck fiasco all over again. Server crash.

I'm one of those lucky few. But I'll be sticking to consoles for online mostly. I can already imagine the supermodded griefers GTAO will have on PC.

I don't understand that. I understand getting extra content when upgrading consoles but not for pc. Not everyone enjoys pc experience or has a social group on a completely different platform altogether. Edited by streetx1xracer

It will mostly be single player, but I wouldn't put anything past the GTA mod crowd. Give them a week and it will be like Christmas. Not sure if it is possible to run their own servers with the mods active but we'll see.

Not really. It'll probably ruin the game. I guess GTA 5 on PC will have a good outcome. All the usual modders and hackers will go play on PC which means that the consoles may have less problems.

 

I'm talking about "PC" mods, they aren't similar to console mods.

There can be graphics mods or mods that add new content (new characters, new vehicles ..etc) or new features.

PC Players won't have to wait for R* to release new content like console players as they can use "mods".

Nope, PC gamers need to learn how to play first and stuff, maybe a month or two after the pc release. Highly possible on 23th May.

That would be a bit like a restaurant doing a "suprise" fir their kitchen staff at service start time... Most likely all the network staff will be all hands on deck because of pc release, and not messing around with surprise updates.

I changed my mind I think they will and have too and if they don't its because they hate us and we should boycott there game for 73 hours. Because you know band wagons and all that.

Ps hurry up and release the heists rockstar.

And make gta v for pc.

Thats a really, really bad idea. For many reasons:

 

1) They are trying to sell the PC version, not encourage people to stay on consoles. Any new content would be PC only, or it would risk sales figures.

2) They are launching the PC version, all support teams will be busy with the PC version, new content will come with bugs and pull away from PC support

3) PC people want to feel special, any new content should be specific to the new platform

4) They have only just released a new DLC for Heists, they have no reason to do a new DLC just now

5) Any new content now has to be tested for 4 consoles and a PC (which could be one of millions of set-ups) which makes any new content really, really, really hard to test

 

1) If People are buying and playing GTA:5 on consoles, chances are they dont care for PC gaming and wouldnt move there anyway. Not even for exclusive content.

2) I agree with this point.

3) The PC players will have 60 FPS, Video editor, and mods. Theres their exclusive content. f*ck giving them exclusive updates just because some whiney PC players wanna feel SPESHUL!!!

New content is not going to hurt sales figures. The PC market is a whole different experience. Those who are buying for the PC could care less about what is out now, getting it on PC is more important than anything else. A lot of people play console and PC and played on console due to the crazy long time it took to get GTA to PC, not because they prefer console. And you have to consider the fact that 4k tv will sure impress with GTA on it.

Rockstar have already stated the mods will not be allowed for online on PC.

I don't know. Some royalty from Nigeria is giving me a fantastic offer for the Cash Cards. All I have to do is send them my credit card info, social security, and birth cerficate for proof of identity.

Modders are try hard game improvers.. look at all the amazing texture mods, .ini tweakers, script editors, added content, on and on for almost every pc game ever made. I would think people would be thankful for the modding community for their love of our pastime. Hell go look at the screenshots of gta 4 and how it looks just like gta 5.. look at the massive amount of hi-res texture packs for Skyrim that have made that ageing game stunning for years. Modders are to thank for that. And even when they're killing you with their explosive round cannon firing fire truck (lol), they're still showing the creators holes that need to be patched.. it's really a win win win for the community as a whole.

 

Mods are fun, if you're in SP only.

People love to force their stuff onto someone else. I mean, sure, it's cool to drive toilets, but this is my f*cking Tailgater you changed into a toilet.

 

 

I'd assume that changing something online would be client side only. You maybe able to see it, like things spawned in, like in GTA 4 Multiplayer, but it wouldn't be a global change. You can't change a ruiner for example into a toilet for everyone, but you can spawn a modded one in and drive it around.
