Highly doubful. Heists are just over a month old, we have about two more months for another update.

Yep, I think it's for PC transfer like adding some stuff to all consoles so they can be ready to transfer to PC.

Given all the trouble R* have had with transfers...seems kind of stupid if that's their plan. While I'm usually all about updates, they should spend more time fixing the game in a way that doesn't create more problems.

Thats a really, really bad idea. For many reasons:

 

1) They are trying to sell the PC version, not encourage people to stay on consoles. Any new content would be PC only, or it would risk sales figures.

2) They are launching the PC version, all support teams will be busy with the PC version, new content will come with bugs and pull away from PC support

3) PC people want to feel special, any new content should be specific to the new platform

4) They have only just released a new DLC for Heists, they have no reason to do a new DLC just now

5) Any new content now has to be tested for 4 consoles and a PC (which could be one of millions of set-ups) which makes any new content really, really, really hard to test

Can't imagine it, really. They really need to make sure the PC is smooth as sailing as they can make it (i.e. not Sim City 2013). And before anyone bitches that there are different teams, it could still theoretically cause more problems for the programmers who patch sh*t.

I don't expect any update for awhile. My personal speculation is that, a month or so after PC release, we'll finally hear about the story mode DLC we were promised a year ago.

This. Like last gen I expect a small update just for character transfer. Maybe they throw in an updated vehicle blacklist.... But aside from that, no new content.

I don't expect anything new until at least a month after PC release as they will likely have to work out bugs and possibly server struggles again.

Yeah, and the video editor. Once it drops in price and people make some nice mods, like the cop mod I saw was available in GTA4, I'll probably get it.

This would be my assumption.

 

Or, would have. I assumed they'd want to keep all three major groups of GTAO on the same patch level (although the version numbers are different). Being thus, you could expect a day 1 patch for PC then after a week or two a larger patch, perhaps mixed with additional content, for bug fixes on PC (and naturally the other groups).

 

However, they seem to be releasing minor bug fixes for each console group at different rates, and I'm told that one of the advatages for PC is not being held to the same stringent release policies as the console online services, so maybe none of that matters.

 

Either way, I wouldn't get too jazzed for anything before May.

Not really. It'll probably ruin the game. I guess GTA 5 on PC will have a good outcome. All the usual modders and hackers will go play on PC which means that the consoles may have less problems.

People love to force their stuff onto someone else. I mean, sure, it's cool to drive toilets, but this is my f*cking Tailgater you changed into a toilet.
