Anyone with my specs can tell me how it runs. (I would really hate big fps drops)

i5 3570k OC 4.0 or 4.2 don't remember

760 2gb sc acx

8 gb ram

8.1

I want to know if I'd be better off upgrading my gpu to 4gb vram

I know GTA V seems to run happily on modest hardware, but as what I said on an earlier post, will I be able to chug it on this?

Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz

4GB DDR3 RAM

GeForce GT240 GDDR5 1GB (I plan on getting a GT740 soon, but yeah, here's a placeholder card for now)

I'm going to attempt running this game on my laptop with an i3 2370m and HD 3000 graphics, just for sh*ts and giggles. Will report back the results when the game is finished downloading and installing.

Report from my friend's PC

PC:

Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz

Geforce GT 440

4 GB Ram

REsolution:1440x900

Texture:High

Everything else normal

Population, density, view distance to all on 40-50 range

Tesselation and vegetation quality:off

FPS:constant 30-40.

Stutterings only when tesselation is turned on.

Apparently this game is magically optimized.

Dual core users will get a warning while launching the game.

Someone should post average fps on intel hd 4000 or 4600 so we can get an idea about the optimisation of the game

@RedIndianRobin: Good job, man. If your friend isn't trolling, the game is apparently brilliantly optimized.

@Others: Guys stop posting specs and asking if it'll run. Post about your experience with the game on your rig.

I was with him the entire time. He didn't troll. I saw the footage and am sharing it here. I will upload a video on my rig when I get my copy.

GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT (SLI, so 2 cards actually)

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 @ 3 GHz

RAM: 4GB DDR2 400 MHz

Ancient hardware, I really need to try GTA V on my PC.

I mean, it's probably going to run like sh*t.

nah you will be fine, just change the dx to 10,and put everything on normal (no AA),i think you can average 50 with that build

It's not even minimum requirements but I'll definitely give it a try as soon as I get GTA V.

Oh man, if that's actually true then I might run this game at a nice framerate, considering we have similar PCs.

Thanks man, this is actually helpful (at least for me).

Please don't. Save a bit more and get something a bit decent like a GTX 750 Ti or R7 260X. GT 740 won't perform that much better than your current GT 240.

Anyone tested this on a 1GB AMD card?

Me, PC specs in signature, if I keep settings like they were when I launched it and upgrade the resolution to 1440*900 (wanted 1680*1050 but 1gb of video memory isn't enough for this), I get around 20-32fps sometimes drops to 18-19 but only in heavy traffic at night, all of it with nothing touched of the settings except reflections set to high (I can't stand the reflection on Normal on each car I see its extremely ugly) I'm pretty impressed of the overall performance to be quite honest, I'll have a better pc in a few weeks, Core I5 3570K (3.4GHZ stock speed), 16GB DDR3 Vengeance something, with a hell of a beast video card in it (Gygabyte GTX 770 OC Windforce 4GB edition) for now, I enjoy what I was waiting for almost 4 yrs.

Thanks! My resolution is 1366x768 so I'll be playing at 30 FPS most of the time I guess and that's fine for me. :)

My card is an AMD Mobility Radeon HD 7650M 1GB, not sure how similar it is to yours but I'm hoping for similar performance.

its funny about vram. i'm running two 760 sli 2GB.

SLI only use the minimum Vram on either card, so 2GB max. but in the V settings menu it says memory usage is 3.5GB and available 4.2GB. which is strange. but it doesn't create any stutter or lag. anyone know if Vram is something to actually worry about?

IMO if someone has 1GB vram it should be a problem. cause V is somehow getting the extra ram from somewhere to boost things up.

On 1280x720 he gets 4-5 more fps from the average one. On 1024x768 there's a 8 fps difference.

Not bad. I'll be running on 1024x768 anyway.

Thanks.

AMD Athlon II X2 240 processor 2.80 GHz is just the issue on my part

had 4 GB Ram and GTX 650 GDDR5 1GB video memory. I don't know if this will work for GTA V since the processor is the only issue I have in terms of the system requirements. Any dual core users here?

I have

Dual Core E6500 2.93GHz

2GB RAM (getting 4 GB this week)

MSi GT 630 1GB

Hope it plays well

See guys? This is what you call a low end PC! This is the pc I had before I upgraded this month.

Intel 8945G chipset 256 MB

4GB Ram DDR2

Intel Core Pentium 4 3.10 GHz

128 GB HDD

I had an Nvidia GeForce 5200FX 256 MB before but it got stolen straight outa my case by someone.

STRUGGLE WAS REAL!!
