Question about character transfer from console

So if I transfer my ps4 character to pc, do I lose my ps4 character? When moved from ps3 to ps4 my character transfered but I keep my character on ps3 which could level up independent of my ps4 one.

Can you only make the GTA Online character progress transfer once?

If I transfer my GTA Online character to the new systems, will I still be able to play with him/her on my PS3 or Xbox 360?

Yes, you will only be able to transfer your character once. After transferring your character to PS4, Xbox One or PC, you can continue playing with him/her on your PS3 or Xbox 360 but the progress you make while playing is not shared to the character you transferred to your new version.

I don't think you can transfer it again, once you've already transfered from ps3 to ps4.

Your character on PS4 will be fine, as Shark said above; your progress on either of your characters will only stay with them and doesn't affect the others.

 

For example if on your PS4 and PC you're level 50, if you gain 10 more on PS4, your character will still be at 50 on the PC version.. same situation if it's the other way around.

Yes you can actually, they stated it a few months back in an ask and answered segment on the Newswire, it's even on their support page as of December 2014.

 

In the ask and answered article, this is where they announced it.

Not to worry, you will be able to transfer your Online characters and progress from any of the four consoles (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 or Xbox One) to the PC platform. To be clear, if you transfer or have already transferred your progress from PS3 or Xbox 360 to either PS4 or Xbox One, then you will still be able to do another transfer again from PS4 or Xbox One to PC. We have updated the detailed transfer information article at Rockstar Support to account for this.
