FastKillerGood Posted April 12, 2015 Share Posted April 12, 2015 Now, this probably didn't deserve it's own topic (well that's what everyone will say anyway) but I wanted to tell people my theory, so I don't know if this has been happening to anyone else, but GTA V on Steam keeps updating every hour or so, the update only takes a few seconds but I think it may be downloading most of the day one patch so when the game is released, the people with so internet (like myself) will only have to download about a MB or something like that, let me know what you think because I thought it was a little suspicious that the game kept updating! I disagree with the OP, as much as I would like it to be true. These updates aren't really updates but verification checks to make sure everything is still there. If it downloads anything it will say so. If it says downloaded 0 bytes its just the client checking to see if its released yet. Its common with all preloads on Steam. You can also check your SteamApps>depotcache folder and look at the modified dates of the files to see if anythings changed.
