Ambient_ Posted April 12, 2015 Share Posted April 12, 2015 I've done a search and couldn't find anything along the lines of this, but in your opinion, what is the worst GTA? Personally, I think the worst GTA is Vice City Stories, and here is my reasoning: A very weak story: VCS had an inconsistent, weak story that wasn't coherent, one moment Vic was wanting to avoid murder then in the following mission he'll shoot up a gang of bikers - where is the consistency? The story didn't fit with the theme they were trying to fit. Aside from the opportunity to own businesses, it brought very little to the table. Just couldn't get into it like the others for some reason. VCS was a huge improvement IMO. It has disappointed me the most, so much so that I had to sell my PS3 copy. I still won't call V as the worst but the most disappointing title of the series so far. Its a 5/10 game on consoles. Hopefully, PC version will push it further slightly and depending on the mods it can go further even more. It has disappointed me the most, so much so that I had to sell my PS3 copy and my PS3 because having to insert that plague virus was just insanely crazy. I will call IV as the worst and also the most disappointing title of the series so far. Its a 4/10 game on consoles. Even the PC version with its mods cannot make IV any better than the horribleness it is! Ban him, BAN HIM NOW!!!! PS. GTA 4 is my 4th favourite game ever created. Terrible story, characters, gameplay, etc. The only redeemable quality I can think of is the map size and graphics. GTA V is the only GTA I've ever had trouble beating more than twice, the only GTA I've ever sold after a year of ownership so that oughta tell you something. The controls are super clunky and the cars are frustratingly weak. Enemy vehicles are built like tanks yet yours will literally burst into flames if you hit a sign post. Playing as a blank slate doesn't really help. I also hate how Pay N' Sprays aren't marked on the map, which makes evading the cops a very annoying procedure. III isn't a bad game, it's just my least favorite GTA. Then again, I've never played Advance, LCS, VCS, or CTW. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You just drive to the location and do the work yourself. Don't rely on the guys with M-16's to do the job for you. I just destroy every thing in site with the RPG once they get out of the car... When I say III is a challenge, I am not referring to the Story Missions, tbh. That wasn't too bad. Some were still tedious, though. I am referring to the infamous headshot only M-16, and Sniper Rifle Rampages. Due to Vehicle Damage and Physics other things present a challenge, too. Missions which give you a 5 star wanted level like "A Drop in the Ocean" are annoying since they ram your car, it smokes black, and blows up before you get back to Donald Love. These are the reasons III is a challenge. Rockstar greatly improved Vehicle Damage and Physics with VC and onward. III goes down in history for easily being the hardest. You can't forget the glitches that III has, either. If you do the Story Missions out of order, you have a potential to get locked out of 100% if you killed Kenji before finishing those Missions, etc. III is about planning. V is about Rockstar holding my hand and allowing me to skip every mission cuz I am incompetent to pass it on my own. So yeah, V is the worst one. I have the same feelings, I still think its a fun game especially once you get to Staunton. But Toni felt so generic and had so much potential.
