CRAZY AL WARD
after several crashes...finally got the basics...looks better than I expected, looks almost good at any colour.. no dirt map, no lights, lots of parts are missing. it seems a little small..i might enlarge it by 5-10 percent, the car is a little too tight for Micheal. a working sample..... Alpha state, uses emperor data.....runs like a boat, you may find the car a little small. https://www.mediafire.com/?kyaxb795xj6096r Cate Blanchett .....she looks large because she got a driving position of people driving a big car for the first time! Carface80
I have to model the car again for LOD1 but it should be "faster" because im literally tracing LOD0. when you draw polygons, use snap tools to put the vertices in place, no more spending time getting the shape right anymore. then repeat the process with LOD2 (trace it with LOD1) and LOD3 (trace it LOD2) there are tools from zmodeler you can use to reduce polygons such as weld vertices. On zmodeler 2 the "w" key is really useful. and you are still here... i salute by the way, can you show your secret for LOD models? how did you do it? Carface80
Love the License Plate. Old School New York State Style. Relic from GTA4/EFLC are still present....I wonder anyone is crazy enough to convert IV maps to GTAV, then load it the same manner as north yankton, this require you to either fly or a nice tunnel under mount chilliad leads you to liberty city. That looks great Brian! Thanks, looks good for a raw state....i have to figure it out how to scale the rear wheels to normal size. I gave the front grille a slight correction. Another conversion... Now, that one I'm very interested in for GTA SA I left San Andreas modding long time ago, made a painful transition to GTAIV and GTAV Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/783601-carface-workshop/?do=findComment&comment=1068428830 Share on other sites

Did you have regrets of Models not made? No regrets, except I felt I could done a little better....that's maybe I'm exaggerating, but my early attempt had been tough, but after several conversion its second nature. The lights are the trickiest because some cars have tricky lighting setup... forced me to improvised...spend more time getting it right. occupant
I'm very excited to see this sort of work still getting done for awesome cars. I was searching to see if anyone had converted the '76 Cutlass Supreme (by Blaer, converted to GTASA by FlashG) to GTA IV yet and I saw that this '73 was available in SA and V but not IV. I'd love to see it converted for IV, but if I have to wait until I can get GTA V running on my PC then so be it. I like the other projects too. Converting cars is one thing but making them from scratch is just awesome! I'm going to second Ward here about finding other projects from the mid-70s. The Dude's Torino would be awesome as an Emperor replacement. There could be a clean one too. A 75-78 Coronet/Monaco/Fury B-body sedan would be great. I'll take a Monaco like Hunter drove. And he had several different colored ones, dark green for most of the seasons. Almost every 70s-80s TV show, comedy or drama, had B-bodies for police cars unless Ford or GM sponsored the program! Other ideas to toss around (and all of them sedans, because I'm a complete and total four door whore)... '77-'79 Cadillac DeVille/Fleetwood (of course, it's what the Emperor was based off of to begin with) '79-'81 Dodge St Regis (appropriate for GTA V because TJ Hooker) '73-'75 Buick Century/Regal (probably better for IV because Kojak was based in NYC) '70-'71 Mercury Montego sedan (chase car from original Gone In 60 Seconds from '74) I'd also like to see SOMEBODY convert the various '75-'78 Ford LTD coupes and sedans available for Vice City to IV or V... http://gta.com.ua/files_search.phtml?keyword=1975+ford+ltd&game=vc But that's a pipe dream I think. You, Mr. Carface, keep doing what you're doing. We all love you for it! I'm tempted to model a Plymouth Grand fury...but i got two other earlier project i have to complete.
