Carface80
You are so right, My GM fishbowl bus started back in 2004, never finished it. In 2008, I decided revive it, but I ended up re-doing 60% of it. Then I decided to convert it to IV hoping I can easily correct the some of the proportion issues, ended up redoing 90% of it. Automotive design is like a virus, if someone come up with a good design, almost everyone tried to make their own version of it. ZAZ-968A reminds me of... 1969 BMW 2002 looks too good to get abandoned, the model is in advance state, any chance of completing it? Sprint-221
I tried to make classic Falcon, but I planned to do US 1962 wagon. But as 80% of my scratches, it was abandoned( Would be great if someday you can finish this project, it looks great, also think about the possibilities, this model can be used as a base for other versions of Falcon, sedan, coupe, convertible, Deluxe, Futura, Ranchero, Sprint, etc . JoeVK
True, but designing an engine takes months to years with sophisticated tools and programs. The 3.0L seemed like it was designed in a couple weeks using nothing but a screwdriver, a sawzall and an abacus. I mean it's GM, so I'd be surprised if that wasn't the case. Also damn, turns out they made a coupe of the Century with a landau roof. DerangedCrackhead
They made a performance version too with the T-Type package. Hell, they even made a T-Type version of the Riviera... JoeVK
In the late '80s, Buick made a T-type model of just about every one of their vehicles. LeSabre, Electra, even the Skylark and Skyhawk. I know a guy who bought a T-Type LeSabre new in '87 and still has it today. Looks like new. Carface80

universetwisters
1986 FBI Miami shootout Check out that yellow sedan with landau roof... I wish I could find better pictures of that specific one without it being all bloodied up or anything. It's funny though how in the movie based on that, they replaced it with a Dodge Diplomat iirc. Still a good movie nonetheless, the dad from Family Ties and Hutch go out and rob banks Carface80
Carface80
oops I didn't noticed the bigger buick is white with black landau roof too, I was referring to the smaller buick to the right :S The movie is surprisingly good, the shootout was pretty close from the FBI reenactment video. I can hardly recognize David Soul....far from pretty boy from Starsky and Hutch. Grogan and Dove drove was a white Buick Century (right), both men died behind their car. The FBI video and the Movie, Grogan and Dove's character drove a Fox bodied Ford LTD/Marguis ' There are two Buick Electras (Caprice's cousins), the blue one is drove by Manauzzi and the white/cream one drove by McNeil, the font end somewhat resembles Dodge St Regis a bit. Damn if I can recreate this on GTA5 rockstar editor..my Century can play Grogan and Dove car! 1986 FBI Miami shootoutCheck out that yellow sedan with landau roof... Carface80
I cent tell from this photo if these cars are either a Le Sabre or Electras. Lesabre is more like Caprice/Impala and Electra is more luxurious like the DeVille. Edited April 24, 2016 by Carface80
DerangedCrackhead
The grey Buick from the FBI shooting scene is definitely a LeSabre; look at the shape of the rear wheel frame and the more narrow c pillar. I particularly like the Oldsmobile version of that generation Electra, especially the 2 door version, with the vertical tail lights and fender skirts. Either way, none of those beat the 77-79 designs. Carface80

R3W1ND
Looking from conversations here makes me think that post-2000s American cars were so difficult to differ. Especially from distance Carface80
DerangedCrackhead
I would say that it's been like that since the rebadge madness took over in the 1970's, at least for someone who's not too familiar with the models from the time.
