You might might to put in a note how the evade wanted level objective is still bugged, you can evade and it won't trigger. This is usually solved by restarting the game, then trying to complete the objective first thing. It got better last update, maybe it will be completely fixed in the next one.

 

I haven't gotten scientific with reproducible observations, but I have made these observations about evade: calling lester to remove the wanted level won't work. Using a mask and taking it off while not under police observation to drop a star won't work towards the objective. Evading a wanted level when it is part of a mission won't work.

From my experience tonight, it looks like R* finally fixed DOs not refreshing for both characters (at least on the PC). I did everything as I normally do (no login or time finagling to make it work), and low and behold, both my primary and my second character's list was refreshed! I did both sets with no problem; rewards given for both.

 

Can anyone else confirm this?

 

Also, it appears as though the requirement to complete "Parachute dangerously" is very draconian--you need to be super close to the ground to do it, and even then it's no guarantee. Kringled noted that this was an issue for him before the Lowriders update, so I'm wondering if perhaps if the Freemode update caused it?

I can confirm this works for both characters on PS4 as I got the refresh for both characters (one at 6pm the other 9pm) so it is finally working for both characters which is excellent news.

^^ Aha! I've always been jumping off the letter "D" of Vinewood (esp. since it has a parachute on top)--and never had a problem that I can recall (always worked

). I wasn't aware of the "V" being a better option--I'll do that next time I get either the "Parachute dangerously" or "Pull a parachute 30 meters from the ground" objectives. Kringled mentioned that he's had some problems with his chute opening; I ran into that last night--seems to be some lag there that I don't recall (from the time you press the "open" key to the time it actually opens).

 

I've also updated the tips and tricks with this--thanks!

I always us a wallbreach where you fall out to do this Parachute Dangerously (actually for all kind of jumps)

I had a lot of trouble recently (couple of days ago) with the parachute dangerously objective. I just couldn't get it done and had to give it up a a lost cause in the end. Usually I manage to do it from the Vinewood sign or failing that by just jumping off a random building but on this occasion neither would work. When doing it from the sign my parachute would open but wouldn't fill up with any air on my descent so I just kept hitting the ground and dying even though I was pulling the chute as soon as I jumped so you would think giving it enough time to properly work. When jumping from a building the parachute worked as it should and I even got the nick of time award but the objective still didn't get ticked off.

in times past (thank goodness for old video footage!).

Try the beach house overlooking the broken bridge stunt jump in Paleto Bay. Land a helicopter on top, run, jump, open.

Did Rockstar change the requirements for the weekly and monthly bonuses? Before all you had to do was complete 7 consectuative or 28 objectives to get it. It didn't matter if you skipped a day or few just as long as u didn't log in. I' ve done at least 7 in a row with only a few breaks in between yet haven't gotten the 100k bounus.

That's a very good question! I think size_m is one of the people who have done this successfully in the past--it will be interesting to hear his thoughts/experiences on this.

Yea, this seems to be it. So one probably can't anymore pause the completion of 28 day reward by switching to another character, so it needs to be 28 consecutive days. On the other hand the dailies can now be completed with two characters in any time of the day, which is great.

I was going to post the info about the lack of being able to pause the daily duties following Lowriders update but see I was beaten to it.

 

As of now there is no longer any way to avoid being reset given that both characters now update daily, I believe whatever progress you had done on the objective

was retained but if you skip a day with a character now I believe you are reset back to the beginning so we probably have to remove the freeze from the hints and tips.

^^ Done! Thanks to everyone for looking into this and adding some verification (if the wording needs to be tweaked, feel free to post a better version, and I'll update it).

 

I must say it is really nice (and slightly daunting) to be able to do objectives for both characters--a potential money maker for sure, providing you have a dependable friend to help complete them.

Just started playing again and doing the daily objectives. It has been going smoothly for the past few days but now I am coming across the likes of do a Contend: Raid, which I have tried repeatedly to start and nobody ever joins.

 

Fair play to those that do these objectives and make some decent coin from it, but I don't think I am going to make it.

Something new as of the Lowriders update--stumbled onto this a day ago--if two players launch a Capture, but one leaves before its done (even seconds after it launches), the remaining player will be declared the winner, and the objective will be considered completed.

 

A very welcome change, considering this would previously have resulted in a "fail" and the objective would still have to be completed with another Capture attempt.

 

Not sure if this applies to death matches or LTS, etc. modes; let me know if you've tried one of these and someone leaves before they are complete.

I think that has been in place for at least the last update as I am sure I experienced that before Lowriders, a welcome change as you say.

 

So I've made my decision regarding my crew and am going to open up Full Metal 2040! to random joins, this extends to those of you who

are regulars on the daily duties scene as I have been struggling a bit to get someone online to help with daily duties so any help welcomed!

 

Membership is not open quite yet as I can't do that from my work PC but it will be in place from 10pm UK time tonight, you can join on any console/

PC as crews are not system based, I have no crew rules except one which is that if you are sent an invite from a fellow crew mate and you wonder

why remember it may be a daily duty so try to help if you can.

 

I'll try to make a Full Metal 2040! Crew topic in the crews section this week.

^^ I think you're right--I took a break from doing Captures in DOs, so it may have come with the Freemode Events update. Corrected.

 

Great idea with the Full Metal 2040! crew; might join myself even though I'm already a member of the 100% DO crew "IMPR" founded by GTAF member gripped.

 

When it's up and running, please do post the link(s)!

 

Though whenever I run into them, I help out any random who I know is trying to complete an objective. We all know what a relief it is to have help, especially the closer you get to big rewards. :)

Actually I've found that if you host, and can get to at least the lobby screen ( the one where you can place bets). If the other person quits out, it still counts as completing said capture/LTS/Deathmatch, etc.

Actually I've found that if you host, and can get to at least the lobby screen ( the one where you can place bets). If the other person quits out, it still counts as completing said capture/LTS/Deathmatch, etc.

 

Nice to know this trick, I usually start the deathmatch, capture and try to get 1 kill or 1 of the objectives, and either I leave if I just joined it or if I'm the host the one that got in leave, it does count as done, didn't know we could do it without even starting it, I know for sure it doesn't work for capture, or maybe they changed something recently, if it can work, it will save me a lot of time.

Yes the Simeon Car List is 24 hours real day.

 

Before the last update the 24 hours was from when you delivered a car to the docks so if Slot 1 delivered at 18:32 on 27/10/2015 - 24 hours later a car list would pop up.

Slot 2 would be the same so if they completed 18:42 on 27/10/2015 - 24 hours later a list appears.

 

With the current delay to the text though it's 24 hrs 24 mins a day until the new list as the text won't appear until 24 mins into session unless you get lucky and get a car list car

before the text.

Simeon's lists used to reset for me a few hours before the daily objective reset. Now it is hard to tell since you have to remain in free mode a while to see the list, although it is active. You get a new list within 24 realtime hours.
