Daily Objectives: tips and tricks

...

I have another useful tip; the mission Blow Up 3 has wanted levels turned off, so it's dead easy to steal a vehicle from Fort Zancudo etc. It also requires destruction of vehicles so goes toward that objective (and you don't need to waste cash on grenades - drive them into the water, steal a jet, park them next to the nearby truck and shoot its gas tank etc). And of course you earn mission payout money in the process.

i was happy about that cool tipp but unfortunately it didn't work for me (on ps3)!

during blow up 3 it works to destroy vehicles which counts for the daily objectives.

but it doesn't count if you steal a military vehicle from fz during this mission.

i've tried several times to see if it's only a bug, but it's not.

have you really tried if it counts for you during this mission or was it just an assumption?

I didn't actually mean it works for that daily objective when I posted it - it was simply a suggestion for a way to do the mission spending nothing on ammo or Pegasus. I have definitely got the daily objective for stealing a vehicle from Fort Zancudo in a mission, but I don't remember which. Next time it comes up, I'll try it.

i would guess it's a (or any) mission in which police/wanted level is active and not turned off.

but that wouldn't make it easier than in free roam then.

Yesterday, I couldn't get the escape a 4-star wanted level job to check off. Escaped a 4-star wanted level 3 times before giving up :-/

Any tips if it doesn't check off?

You literally have to exit the game (entirely; Story Mode included), reload it, and then it should work. This (thankfully) has always worked for me.

But yes, it's a very annoying bug.

yeah, refreshing the cache by restarting the gama and then doing this objective as the first thing before doing anything else.

you could have read this tipp in this thread before you gave up on it.

As I say, I'm sure I've stolen a vehicle from Zancudo in a mission and I'm fairly sure it was one where wanted levels were off. Might be a PS4 difference; I've got to wait for it to come up as an objective before trying it again to check, though. If anyone else can confirm that would be really helpful :)

I'm on PS4 and tried stealing a vehicle from Fort Zancudo during the mission "Blow Up III" and I was not given the Objective.

I remember last Tuesday I got:

-Participate in a TDM

-Kill 10 players

-Send a mugger after a player

So basically R* wanted me to be a dick lol.

EDIT: And I hit the jackpot again!

-Participate in a TDM

-Participate in a 1v1 DM

-Kill a revealed player

I quickly scanned over the thread after the 2nd escape (and didn't see it), but my heist mates were starting to come online at that point. Quickly escaped again and it didn't check off and then into heists.

I'm not too distraught over it as I hit 28 days shortly before that happened.

What do they do

what exactly do you mean?

when completing the daily objectives you get $25k and rp3k each time/day for it.

for completing them 7 days in a row you get $100k and rp15k.

for completing them 28 days in a row you get $500k and rp50k.

is that what you meant?

  • Get a Gold Medal in a Flight School Lesson - Brand new (to me, the OP) Daily Objective--spotted on GTA Wiki's D.O. list! Yikes! Anybody have any idea of how to easily complete this if/when it comes up?

Take the lesson where you have to land the bizjet with engines out. Simply set it down and let it roll and stop very near the objective for gold.

The "Export a vehicle" objective can be completed even if you haven't gotten a text from Simeon (I did so today).

I went to one of the locations where parked vehicles spawn (in this case the parking lot behind the Alta St. apartments), and just broke into vehicles that I know are possible export list candidates. When I hit one that instantly put me at two stars, I just did what I would normally do. I didn't get the tool tips about respraying/etc., but did it anyways, and delivered as normal.

So I've been doing my daily objectives for both characters and I received my $500,000 for 1 but not the other. Is that right? Or should I put in a ticket for the other character?

Did you get the money leading up to the $500,000? Like the daily $25,000? If both characters got the payments leading up to it, it seems a bit strange that one of them would get excluded from only the last payment.

The game's funny though, so maybe it's set up that way. Still, can't hurt to try.

that's a bug or you had a reset of the progress for that one char.

are you really sure that you completed the objectives every single day with both chars and didn't miss a day for one of the characters?

i always do them with both and always got all payments for both (on ps3).

Problem is that R* hasn't clarified whether both characters are supposed to be able to do DOs or not; so it's a grey area ATM; i.e. either an unintended glitch that lets some do both--but not others--or an intermittent bug that rears its ugly head by keeping both from working properly.

Yes, up until the 500,000 I was getting each of their $100,000. I got it for the male didn't get it for the female.

ok, now here is the detailed instruction for keeping the progress for the 28-day-bonus while being absent a couple of days (i.e. on vacation):

char A = the character who is supposed to keep the progress.

char B = is the other character who can get that progress reset.

1. on the last day playing before absence time log in first (after refresh/reset time for the daily obj.) with char B to get his list of daily objectives refreshed.

2. complete the list of daily objectives for char B (i'm not really sure if that matters but i did it. maybe you can just leave that list incomplete).

3. the first day after coming back after the absence time log in first (after refresh time) with char B to refresh his list.

4. after that switch back to char A the next day and refresh his list.

the progress for char B should be reset but the progress for char A should be saved.

this worked for ps3, not sure about the other platforms.

after some more testing i can simplify this method a bit as not all of the above described steps arereally necessary.

the steps number 1. and 2. can be scratched as they are not required for the instruction.

now here is the new simplified instruction for saving the progress for the 28-day bonus when being absent a couple of days:

char A = the character who is supposed to keep the progress.

char B = is the other character who can get that progress reset.

1. the first day after coming back from the absence time log in only with char B to refresh his list.

the list of objectives (and the progress) for char A should be stuck with the last completed set of do's from the last time you played with him.

2. the next day switch to char A and refresh his list.

the progress for char B should be reset but the progress for char A should be saved.

this worked for ps3, not sure about the other platforms.

Does anyone know if collecting your own bounty, i.e. surviving/waiting out your bounty for 48 minutes will count for the "collect a bounty" objective?

While I doubt it, it's still a very good question--hadn't thought of that! Only one way to find out, too... :)

Kill players objective can be done in ANY game mode where it is possible to kill another player, i.e. LTS, Parachute Jump with weapons on, normal race where you can cause anther racer to die by crashing their plane, flattening them on their bike, knocking their car into a gas pumps.

A death match is always the quickest, most profitable, and sporting way to complete this objective.

Steal vehicles objective can be done in a contact missions without risk of getting a bounty, as long as the vehicle being stolen is not an objective in the mission. It can also be done in other game modes where there is NPC traffic (but not creator provided vehicles)

Taking the unlocked vehicle provided for you after entering free mode from another game mode when you have no personal vehicle will not count.

Stealing aircraft counts towards this objective and does not incur the risk of getting a bounty.

Destroy vehicle objective can be done with contact missions. The most profitable and RPewarding way to do this objective is to complete a few of these missions:

Blow Up, Blow Up II, Blow Up III, Artificial Scarcity, Mixed Up with Coke, Trash Talk, Denial of Service.

Bullshark picked up in a death match will count towards this objective, however, awarded bullshark for killing the power player does not count. Killing death match bounties does not count towards collect a bounty, btw.

Bullshark can be made useful, by calling for it and collecting it before going into battle in a contact mission or heist setup/finale.

There is the shooting range in Cypress Flats as well as the one mention in Pillbox hill. These two shooting ranges have the gun on the target icon, rather than just the gun icon on the map.

Setting the number of rounds to unlimited seems to not allow the round at the shooting range objective to be completed.

A very good question and something I'd really like to find out myself. Also if it does work is it only if another player puts a bounty on you or would it also count if you survive a bounty placed on you by an npc for stealing cars?
