Daily Objectives: tips and tricks

Recommended Posts

Bolatsi

Those were very quick to complete as soon as I got a friend to help. Without a friend it could take hours to complete that list. I've waited for a day to see "the most horrible line-up", and today was the day. Friends/crew are very important for completing daily objectives, that's for sure.

Your's look nice! :) I've also had many days in a row that have barely had any trouble, and had been able to complete solo.

All in all I enjoy daily objectives. The rewards are nice and the things to do are mostly fun...

...but that's precisely why I'm in a crew dedicated JUST for handling situations like that.

^^ It's PC-only (unfortunately, I'm not aware of any similar crews for the consoles), but here's the link:

EDIT: Found the following link for console users and PC; not sure how useful it is, seeing as the posts have slowed a bit, but:

Hmm, I wonder if it might be worth my while opening up one of my two crews allowing PS4 players to join for help completing Daily Objectives.

I like doing them but I dislike it when I get Impromptu Race (4 days in a row last time) so I let myself be reset.

I'm not playing at the moment but will likely return to GTA Online on PS4 with the September update, those of you who read this thread, what

do you think?

You wouldn't need to be on the persons friends list as you could use the invite crew members option to see if anyone else in the crew was

available to help? It would will me to return knowing I could just send invites and get help with objectives when I needed it as my friends have

all stopped playing GTA Online now.

^^ I say go for it--the more crews out there helping people with objectives, the better IMO!

I do wish R* would at least tweak the 1v1 DM and the Impromptu Race somehow to make them either easier to complete, or just replace them altogether with new objectives that are easier to do on your own...I'm sure there are plenty more objectives that could be added to the list.

Thank you very much for these tips - I've been meaning to check them for a while, since realising I haven't managed to bribe the cops and cause havoc successfully yet. I didn't realise that required destroying vehicles; I've been simply shooting cops...

Pleased to see you found my wheelie tip elsewhere too :)

I have another useful tip; the mission Blow Up 3 has wanted levels turned off, so it's dead easy to steal a vehicle from Fort Zancudo etc. It also requires destruction of vehicles so goes toward that objective (and you don't need to waste cash on grenades - drive them into the water, steal a jet, park them next to the nearby truck and shoot its gas tank etc). And of course you earn mission payout money in the process.

No problem--and only possible with the help of numerous contributors like yourself. And yeah, you only need to blow up about (I'm guessing--haven't actually counted) six or seven vehicles to complete the "Bribe cops and cause havoc" objective.

The wheelie tip has been a big help to me; especially since my bike driving skills are minimal at best. lol I bought an off-road bike and armored it (but without bulletproof tires) for that very reason.

Thanks for the tip on Blow Up 3; I agree...though getting to Ft. Zancudo tends to be tedious and time-consuming, so I like to just fly in. If choppers spawned at the normal helipads/airports during missions like they do during freeroam, I'd use them, but I just call Pegasus for my Buzzard or Savage since it's cheaper than a Merryweather pickup. I can then use the chopper to quickly complete the "blowing up" process to nail both mission and daily objectives.

I still prefer to do the wheelie by setting up the race "taking off". Then select the Bati 801, doesn't need to be modified. When the race starts, just wheelie. Maybe you need to adjust your bike a little bit to left or right, to make it go in straight line. But the Bati is so easy to wheelie, it only requires you to push the stick down and accelerate. You can't fall down, or anything. You may need to adjust the amount of throttle, but that's all. You can start the race solo quickly, you don't need to search for a bike or anything. The race takes 1 min to complete when set to 1 lap. Very, very easy...

Finally was unfortunate enough to get Impromptu Race. Fortunately, a fellow forum member helped me out.

@ Bolatsi: Thanks! Notes added to the "Perform a wheelie for 10 seconds" objective.

@ Jmac: Yeah, Impromptu Races can be a royal pain if you can't find someone to help--glad you got the help you needed--especially on day 25!

[General note: for anyone on the PC that would like my help, please just send me a friend request with "daily objective help" in the notes section (just a bit easier to connect than crew-only members).]

Sanchez is also very easy to wheelie on Take Off and, since it's slower, it's easier to do without missing checkpoints.

Yea, I forgot to mention that with the Bati you should wheelie in a straight line first, get the objective and collect the checkpoints after that. I haven't tested Sanchez. You can fall down with Sanchez if you wheelie too much?

Not on a flat surface in my experience.

Is there a good way to know where you are in consecutive days once you've completed 28 days? I'd been tracking progress from Pause>Stats>Awards>General (PC).

I've found the PCJ-600 works well for the wheelie objectives, Its never let me down but it is fully modified not sure if it makes that much of a difference coz its still bloody slow.

@ kringled: Unfortunately, not that I know of--I've been keeping track of them on my own, just so I know where I'm at. Incidentally, my Daily Objectives didn't fresh today, so I filed a ticket with R* (that, and the Karin Technical didn't unlock for me after completing that heist; go figure). lol

@ ghostider135: Thanks! Truthfully, it sounds like most any motorcycle will work fairly well; even the Faggio (if you can keep it from flipping over in the midst of wheelies though). lol

Thanks for the answer. It would have been convenient to answer some questions about how it keeps track and "vacationing" progress.

Off-topic: The Technical unlocks at the finale, not the Weed setup, since it plays a role in the finale as well. That's why I said I'd make sure you were around for the finale.

On-topic: If you have connection problems ("Failed to join session", "Timed out loading session") on your first load of the day, you won't get a fresh set of objectives. The safe (but inconvenient) method is to always start up your first time by going to story mode, then into a invite-only session by yourself.

^^ Yikes; OK, looks like I owe R* Support an apology--I just assumed that the Karin Technical would unlock on the first "usage" mission like some of the other heists.

Thanks for the info about the objectives not being refreshed--another bug to add to the PC list!

Also don't use Rest Mode on PS4 as it can also result in connection issues on startup.

Hit my 28 days today with a ridiculously easy set of mod a car, parachute job, and gang attack :)

i was happy about that cool tipp but unfortunately it didn't work for me (on ps3)!

during blow up 3 it works to destroy vehicles which counts for the daily objectives.

but it doesn't count if you steal a military vehicle from fz during this mission.

i've tried several times to see if it's only a bug, but it's not.

have you really tried if it counts for you during this mission or was it just an assumption?

must be a pc issue as i have never had that happen on ps3.

i always get a fresh list, also when having connection problems on the first login.

That's certainly possible, I only have experience on the PC version, but that issue has been pretty consistent for me on PC (about to finish my 2nd set of 28).

you are right about the forced thing.

but it actually is worth it for the money:

- each time you get 25k $,

- plus 100k $ after 7 days in a row,

- plus 500k $ after 28 days in a row.

that's all together 28 x 25k + 4 x 100k + 500k = 1.6 million $

most of the times you are able to complete the list within about 15 mins.

for some objectives you need a friend for easier completion.

So if I understand you right and you don't skip a day, you get 100k on the 7th day instead of 25k and you get 500k on your 28th day instead of 25k. What about the 14th day? And 21th?

that's correct, it's 1.4 million.

i was already corrected about that some posts after that post you quoted.

as i do the daily objectives every day with both of my characters i even get 2.8 million each month!

if i have to be absent for a couple of days i can at least save the progress for one of my both characters and loose it only for the other one.

therefore it's good that both characters don't have exactly the same progress but some days/weeks different so that one of them has a smaller progress which can be reset with less days of progress lost.

I didn't actually mean it works for that daily objective when I posted it - it was simply a suggestion for a way to do the mission spending nothing on ammo or Pegasus. I have definitely got the daily objective for stealing a vehicle from Fort Zancudo in a mission, but I don't remember which. Next time it comes up, I'll try it.
