Daily Objectives: tips and tricks

Had both yesterday so they are still present in the daily objectives list.

 

Finally got another 28 day payout yesterday and going to do one more week to get the second character on Friday but after that I am gonna leave these for a while.

Well a very strange occurence happend on "Tornado Day" yesterday.

 

Completed my daily objectives for my Slot 1 character, paid out and moved over to Slot 2 and again completed all objectives and got paid and then spent

some time hunting rusty Tornado's in Sandy Shores, finally got a worn red example and drove straight to garage it was to be stored in and then went to

Benny's and customised it.

 

I then drove back to the garage with the fully custom Tornado and had the save notification so I left to story mode and thought go back in just to check

the worn paint look had changed any as can sometimes happen with rusty cars and the game loads me to Character 1.

 

So I check and daily duties are fine but I have all the money on my account I had before visiting Benny - 2.6 million - uh oh!

 

A rapid switch of character - new Daily Duties appear for Slot 2 and the Tornado is "whisk" gone, so I completed the new daily duties and got paid again

but then had to go Tornado hunt - got one but just left it in the garage and will do it again tonight.

 

A strange glitch as had never had that happen before and not sure what it will do to my progress for next 28 days.

Well after yet another "reset" as per my last messages I stopped playing GTA Online on Saturday thus ending my daily objectives.

 

This latest development was equally strange, I had got the full 28 day payout for my second character last Sunday as expected but then I got paid

a week's money on Saturday which meant there had been some reset that I can't figure out, I suspect it's related to my previous post about Tuesday's

hiccup.

 

Either way i got very frustrated with missions on Saturday so I have decided to shelve the game, don't know if it will ever return as ended up playing

some Elder Scrolls Online on PS4 yesterday and seems so much more peaceful/less stressfull, hopefully I shall hear that things have been fixed

but I'm not holding my breath.

Finally did it. Easy one's today luckily landrace, fly under a bridge in an air race and fall for 100 meters. Second character survival, bullshark and gang attack and since today I finally did a full 28 days I finished off the gang attack and killed the last guy with some fireworks.

i'm not sure if it was already said in here...

for the objective stealing or destroying a certain amount of cars i always use any gta type race in the city with traffic on.

this way i can get out of my car and steal a lot of cars (i.e. at an intersection) without getting wanted levels.

same goes for the destroying objective where you can use thepickup rockets to destroy the cars without needing your own ammo.

Blow Up III is good for that. Use a Buzzard or Savage, do your objectives without being disturbed by cops, and even get a mission payout when you finish it.

Just a quickie for the guide today but Power Play now seems the quickest way to get Kill 5/10/20 Players Daily Objective.

 

If a match is set to 25/40 kills over 2 rounds I found this seemed the quickest way to get this done.

 

In and Out and Trading Places are also quick ways for kills due to the quick respawn times/length of the matches.

A Race to help with at least 11 different Daily Objectives

1. Land race

2. Non contact race

3. GTA race

4. Rally race you need another person

5. Steal 5 vehicles use GTA race with traffic on and just steal vehicles no wanted level or bounty

6. Steal 10 vehicles use GTA race with traffic on and just steal vehicles no wanted level or bounty

7. Steal 20 vehicles use GTA race with traffic on and just steal vehicles no wanted level or bounty

8. Destroy 5 vehicles use GTA race with traffic on and just destroy vehicles no wanted level

9. Destroy 10 vehicles use GTA race with traffic on and just destroy vehicles no wanted level

10. Destroy 20 vehicles use GTA race with traffic on and just destroy vehicles no wanted level

11. Perform a wheelie for 10 seconds switch to motorcycle class

Sorry if this has already been mentioned...but I'm 90% certain you can stall your objectives. For example - If you're approaching the 500k the next day but you won't be playing GTA Online on that day then I think if you log off with your other player it will pick up where you left off when you log back on and switch back... only recently I've come back to GTA after a few days break and my character collected 100k after two days. This has happened many times to me.

I didn't do anything particular knowing I would miss one day last week, actually launching online and trying to get 3 quick objectives but never did, and I still got my weekly bonus. Maybe it had something to do with the times? I have no idea but was pleasantly surprised!

Though I no longer bother with any set of DOs requiring any form of PvP (except for "Collect a Bounty"), there are a couple new ones they could add:

- Collect a random weapon pickup (fairly easy)--though requires you to read the forum thread to know where they are

- Participate in a Stunt Race

 

Anyone else think of new ones that could be added since the last batch of DLCs?

^^ That would be good!--kind of the DM alternative to "Dropping In"--which, if done successfully, completes virtually any objective related to parachuting or falling, etc.

Hello, is it possible to do daily objectives for my 1st and 2nd character in the same day or does it freeze the daily objective for the second character. I just created a 2nd character. My 1st character is lvl 413. So my second character got to lvl 120 instantly (this was included in the biker dlc)

I just want to know if this would work if i do DOs on both characters each day. This will make earn double cash from DOs if it's possible

The original post is slightly confusing on it though:

 

Referring to old gen, obviously:

 

Character A has the better number of days in a row and needs to be preserved; character B can be reset. So. . .

 

Both sets of objectives are unlocked. Character A completes their objectives, Character B does not. The next day, do you log on with Character A since they never had a day without completed objectives, or do you need to use Character B until the next time you can unlock both sets to avoid resetting Character A?

Hmm; I would say stay on char B until you're ready to do both. But that said, I do think there's some YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) involved.

 

I can however at least confirm that you can skip logging in (for both chars) and still pick up where you left off. I suspect this was R*'s way of letting people go on vacation or be out sick from GTA Online without losing their DO progress.

FWIW, I noticed that if for some reason you fall through the map without dying (spawning back onto a random road, etc.) you'll inadvertently complete at least one of the "Fall" or "Parachute" DOs, with the "Objective Complete! Fall and survive" message.

I think I've found a second way you can lose DO progress while still doing a full set of objectives every day.
The first way which I've seen others post about here: If you switch sessions or take a multiplayer invite too soon after getting your first objectives, you will get a new second set of objectives for the day and lose progress. My personal workaround for this is to always do one job (a quick solo race for example) that takes me out of the lobby before changing sessions.

The second way: I believe that there is also a timer between logins; if two logins are too far apart in time, you will lose progress. The important part is that I believe this timer is well over 24 hours (of course) but less than 48 - I had a recent progress loss where I logged in Wednesday morning, did objectives quickly, and didn't login again that day at all. Thursday I had an early meeting so I didn't login until the evening. This still amounted to one objective set done per day, but it reset my progress as if Thursday were day 1.

Disclaimer: I play on PC and things may work slightly differently on the consoles. I've completed monthly objectives over 25 times across both characters, so I'm usually pretty consistent at getting and completing the streak bonuses. My sheet of objective stats is here:

^^ I'm pretty sure this, or something similar to it, happened to me recently. Although I have consistently completed every daily objective for both characters for over three months now, this past Thursday I recently failed to receive my weekly bonus for my second character.

 

I got the regular daily $25k, etc. but no $100k weekly bonus, as if no week had passed at all (been two days over, and still no bonus). Though why my primary character received all bonuses just fine but not the other when they were both completed within the same time frame is a mystery to me.

 

And just for the record, yes, I'm quite confident I've finished all objectives every day for each character (am a bit OCD about making sure). :)

 

I know R* has their hands full with all kinds of issues in GTA Online, but it would be nice to see dailies get some arguably long overdue bug fixes and improvements in the near future... some new variety of dailies would be nice, as well as things like making all types of DMs (DMs/TDMs/VDMs) and Captures count toward completion for any specific type requested. This could actually make Quick Jobs VERY helpful, and put an end to players who join but then quickly quit jobs because Quick Jobs gave them yet another TDM (IME at least 2-3X more popular than DMs) when they needed a "Normal" DM to complete their objective.

 

Same with Versus and Adversary Modes counting toward each other's completion--like (IIRC) they used to--especially due to a significant lack of interest in Versus Modes of late.

 

If not, at the very least, there needs to be a means via Quick Jobs of specifying a specific type of DM ("normal" DM, TDM, VDM) or Capture (GTA, Contend, Raid, Hold).

May be old news to some, but FWIW, I've noticed that recently the daily objective "Kill a player while Off the Radar" now counts the CEO Ability "Ghost Organization" along with Lester's "Off the Radar".

 

Can be useful if you're trying to get this daily done while you're defending your organization, running some vehicle cargo, etc.

 

Have updated the notes to reflect this.

It's been a while since I've been on here but I think they made a couple of changes to the random selection for Daily Duties.

 

Versus mission - Vehicle Deathmatch/Team Deathmatch and Deathmatch appear to have the lowest likelyhood to appear. They will still be a daily objection but only

appear to get it once in the 2 8 day period.

 

Complete a Last Time Standing, Contact Mission and Versus mission also appear to be less freequent.

 

I've just done two new sets of characters 28 day objectives and only had these once over the past four weeks., al

Sure thing; BTW, not sure if anyone else has run into this, but twice now I've killed someone with a bounty for the "Collect a bounty" objective, and on respawning, the bounty stuck with them.

 

In one case, it took me killing them twice to get the bounty. This seems to be as a result of the latest Cunning Stunts: Special Vehicles DLC.

 

@ Tails Prower: I was wondering about this--they did seem to be a bit easier lately; though Captures seem unaffected?

 

Nice to see that R* isn't completely ignoring Daily Objectives; would be nice if the old simple Stunt Jumps would make a return, but it may have to do with old code they don't want to touch for fear of breaking something else?
