The gas mask should negate tear gas effects. (Petition thread)

  1. 1. Should gas masks make the wearer immune to tear gas?

    • Yes, & should only be usable without bulletproof helmets.
    • Yes, & should stack with bulletproof helmets.
    • No, only bulletproof helmets should.
    • No, all cosmetic items should be cosmetic only.

Amen someone made this! Hopefully Rockstar sees this cause I for one hate the fact the gas masks aren't functional to protect from teargas and never use them for that reason.

I think the bulletproof helmet is f***ing stupid. Ruined death-matches when they added it. You're basically forced to wear this special ed helmet if you want to win fights. I generally do death-matches without it anyway and put myself at a disadvantage.. but if I do wear it, I'm invincible... so stupid.

"bulletproof helmets so stupid :( advantage :( counterstrike doesnt have that shi... oh wait :( "

also tear gas needs to be stronger:

2 options:

- +0,7 faster health reduction

OR

- blurred vision.

Does anyone even use Tear Gas anyway?

I do.

I use a bunch of tear gas in deathmatches to "connect" a wall to another to create a border which enemies don't care to cross; however the l33t players who use OP sh*t all the time, just retaliate with sticky bombs.."sigh"....:(

However, I use tear gas in the Los Santos Connection in the hangar section. Explosives will destroy the package and the enemies at the top of the stairs will have an advantage on you when you go up the stairs. I just usually lob tear gas and wait a few seconds for them to suffocate to death instead of risking my team's survival or the destruction of the package.

On a separate note: There should be a Jerry Can petition as well where we discuss the longevity of the trail created when we pour. The trail doesnt always light on fire, and when it does, the fire only lasts for a seconds. On top of that, if you pour for too long or over a long distance, the trail disappears.

I do often have fantasies about donning my gas mask and rushing the enemy while my teammates throw tear gas at them. That'd be so schweeet

Good morning mob bosses and gangsters. I believe it should work in tandem because it looks cool and we do it in real life. I believe that we could have more interesting gameplay and setup with the ability to use gas masks, like dropping them and running into a room like a seat team. Or putting it on and dropping some gas in a car so you can take it while causing less damage to the vehicle.

Don't play with the dead.

I’d be surprised if my tear gas canisters still work, having sat unused on my weapon wheel for probably 7 or more years

i will use them next time I play and then buy fresh ones!

you just never know...

They are useful in non-online GTA 5, if while playing as Michael you want to lob a few canisters into the house from the garden and gas your annoying needy screeching family to death. Other than that pretty pointless.

I use the tear-gas in some missions - usually to eliminate enemies in small rooms where there's other stuff that can explode - but where there's no risk of chain explosions, then it's usually molotovs or pipe bombs to clear enemies.  (The spreading fire works wonders)
