This is an interesting topic. I enjoy video games like most of you. I've spend hours playing all these different games trough the last 25+ years. My top 10 will be based on the gaming platforms I owned and games that I enjoyed the most as a kid, through my teenage years and early adult hood. I had a lot of fun playing them and they had a huge effect on my life in terms of my gaming experience with friends or alone.

I always come back to GTA V/ Online and it's the only game I have over a hundred days sunk into. It's still not my fav. So I guess my list would be something like this. Kinda difficult to make because there are so many games that I love and want to include.

1. GTA VC (It was the game that got me into GTA)

2. GTA SA (Was way ahead of it's time)

3. Silent Hill 2

4. Black ops 2 (made a few long time friends on zombies)

5. GTA V/Online.

6. Fallout 4(I love 3 and new Vegas, but it's fun to see my State/city in a game and I actually love the settlement building)

7. Um Jammer Lammy

8. Final fantasy 7

9. Max Payne 3 (I miss multiplayer)

10. Metal gear( hard to choose one, but have to include)

Gran Turismo i only played 1-4

Metal Gear Solid i only played 1, 2, 3, and Phantom Pain, i managed to finish Metal Gear 2 in the hardest difficulty level, but damn the endboss was hard. It was Solidus Snake i think, it was a swordfight.

GTA i played them all, all except the PSP games

Halo  i played them all

Splinter Cell 1-3 were awesome, the rest was okay

Battlefield but not BF1 and BF5

Far Cry never played the first Far Cry, liked all the others

Command & Conquer the latest ones sucked

 

I would also add Sim City that was released on SNES, Super Mario Brothers NES, Tetris Gameboy, and Resident Evil i only liked 5 and 6 for some reason, because i hate unkillable monsters/zombies that were in 2, 3 and 4 i think, Street Fighters SNES, Tekken Tag Tournament and Tekken 4 PS2. Mission Impossible N64, damn that game was difficult. Dino Crisis was also cool.

 

There are a bunch of more games i liked, but i should only list 10, nah that is impossible.

 

I think the hardest of all these games was Golden Eye, that Jungle mission was very hard, and there was something else that was very hard.

 

The games back in the day were much harder and much more frustrating than today, but it also felt good if you finally managed to finish that extra hard level. Today the games are all too easy, because whiny kids keep complaining that they can't progress.

 

I played all the games until the end of the PS2 and the first X-Box era, without any walkthrough, or any forums or yeah even without any internet connection, kids probably can't even imagine that today. We actually had to figure everything out on our own.

Yup! I bet you'd burn me for it?? hahaha. No.7 is kinda low for my standards, anyway. More like in the middle.

 

I can also say the same to RDR, The Last of Us, and Uncharted 4. I had lots of good memories from them, but I don't think I'll be replaying them as much as my top 6 which I replay every now and then.

 

With more modern controls, I don't think Uncharted 4 deserves to be at the bottom. But, I don't like the Uncharted series overall. The combat is more clunky than GTA IV, except for Uncharted 4. Most of all, I don't like the way combat is forced into the game in intervals. Uncharted 4 has great storytelling. The combat is supposed to be like action movie scenes. The thing is....it's just not my thing.

 

So yeah, even if I look at them highly, I don't think think the gameplay is that fun, tbh.

 

Some games I REEEEALLY frown upon:

 

Warzone - awful Southeast Asia servers plus my country has awful internet. Also, hackers plus SBMM

RF Online - If you think GTA Online is grindy, then these early 2000s Korean MMORPG might convince you otherwise.

 

I also replay MW1 and 2 Remastered every now and then. But, I don't delve into online games that much.
