1. Grand Theft Auto III. One of the most revolutionary titles in the history of video games.

2. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. It's not just a game, it's a cultural phenomenon.

3. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. A legend that will never die.

4. Grand Theft Auto IV. This game showed the dark side of Rockstar Games in such a poetic way.

5. Red Dead Redemption. Possibly, the best game ever made.

6. Manhunt. It makes you think of what a man can do for his freedom, something people tend to overlook when playing this game. Also, the voice acting is sublime.

7. Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne. The best love story ever written in gaming, this game transmits such powerful emotions.

8. Midnight Club 3: DUB Edition Remix. The best Racing game ever made in my opinion.

9. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. My favourite Metal Gear game ever, an absolute masterpiece.

10. Half-Life. My favourite First Person Shooter, such an awesome game.

 

Honorable mentions:

 

1. Bully. Unique in its own way, there's no game like this one.

2. Red Dead Revolver. A very underrated gem, people who played Red Dead Redemption don't even know this one exists, sadly.

3. Metal Gear Solid. The game that defined the Stealth genre.

4. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. At first, I didn't like how this game "forced" you to play as Raiden instead of Solid Snake for most of the storyline, but it's something forgivable when the overall experience is exceptional.

5. Tomb Raider. Another great genre-defining game, and the beginning of a legend.

6. Crash Bandicoot. A lot of great memories with this game. Basically, my childhood.

7. 007: Tomorrow Never Dies. My favourite one from the 007 series, the mission where you had to skydive after skiing down a mountain is unforgettable.

8. Dino Crisis. Take Resident Evil, then mix it up with Jurassic Park. The result is awesome.

9. Syphon Filter 3. This game was just amazing. One of my favourite games from the Fifth Generation of consoles.

10. Heavy Rain. The gameplay could be a little bit boring sometimes, but the storyline of this game was just breathtaking.

 

And many, many more that can be seen on my "About Me" page. Also, I'm pretty sure Grand Theft Auto V will be high on my Top 10 when I finally play it.

 

And here's my Top 5 Least Favourite Games:

 

1. 187 Ride or Die. The worst game I've ever played in my whole life. There's nothing to like about it, really.

2. Dante's Inferno. I enjoyed reading Dante Alighieri's epic "Divine Comedy", but this game was just a big disappointment.

3. True Crime: Streets of LA. True Crime: Streets of LA? Nah, True Grime: Street Cleaners is more like it.

4. State of Emergency 2. Awful. Utterly awful.

5. Enter the Matrix. Funny how Max Payne took the Bullet Time from The Matrix film trilogy, while Enter the Matrix unsuccessfully "copied" Max Payne.

KOJIMA, I Salute you.

The emotions this game transmits to the player are so intense. I love how Hideo Kojima gave a value to every single word the characters said. One of my favourite moments was the The Sorrow's Boss Battle, it was such a meaningful moment in the game:

 

 

This Boss Battle is something pretty unique in gaming, in fact it doesn't require you to kill anybody as The Sorrow is a ghost in the game, so he's already dead, but it could be harder depending on how many enemies you killed (and they'll appear as dead spirits during the Boss Battle) instead of sneak around them, or simply tranquilize them with an Mk22. I found it a very meaningful moment in the game because it makes think of all the mistakes you've committed in the past, it even made me regret killing all those "human beings". Additionally, the river at which Snake encounters The Sorrow is inspired by the Sanzu-no-kawa (River of Three Crossings), which is a Japanese Buddhist concept of the afterlife. The Sanzu-no-kawa was split into three paths depending on the life the person had lived. Talking of Boss Battles, the one with The End is just too amazing, I had a lot of fun sneaking behind him in order to get the "Moss" camouflage.

 

 

Notable mention to how they recreated the Soviet Jungle, the wildlife, and how every single meticulous detail was amazingly done. Every item had a purpose, such as using Thermal Goggles to know where The Pain was when he doubled himself and to be able to see The Fear, or throwing rotten and poisonous food at The Fear when he was hungry in order to decrease his stamina. Also, the game was full of funny secrets and Easter Eggs to discover. Absolutely one of my favourite games ever.

 

Yes, knowing how Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be Hideo Kojima's last Metal Gear game is painful. It seems like Hideo Kojima knew about this a long time ago as in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeros, during the mission "Déjà Vu" you can "erase" all the Metal Gear title logos from various places in the Naval Prison Facility, and here's what Miller will say:
