1. Porsche Lava Orange, found one on the thread but it's missing like a lot of red and brightness

 

 

2. Spiker C8 Aileron's orange, found only one hex on the appreciation thread and it didn't really work out

Greetings all. I've been playing GTA V for 7 years across 3 platforms and just recently discovered this thread which has sent me down a new rabbit hole. Different textures, custom colors, rare care spawns....things I never knew even after years of playing.

 

I wanted to thank all of you who have contributed over the years, fulfilling hundreds of requests. Particularly Zanthera, Joonas, Captain, and JR. Forgive me if I'm omitting any other regulars but the 4 of you came up time and time again when combing through about 80% of this now 486 page thread. This game is a small thing in life, but your time and effort given towards enhancing it for the community deserves acknowledgement and appreciation. So once again, thank you.

 

There are a few requests from other users that caught my eye during my treasure hunt that I don't believe were ever addressed. I wanted raise them from the dead collectively as a new request.

  

Dark Green/Blue Metallic (posted by tjeerios on 7/16/16) stated hex as #061019ff but that code does not give this color. Can you tell what texture/pearl this is? I tried recreating it multiple times with the tools provided here but I can't seem to get it.

I can’t seem to locate the hex for rust on a rusty rebel...I’ve taught myself to make colours with a system that works for me using a few programs but the pick I could get of the rust from my Xbox screenshot and colour picker is just changing it.

 

You have it lying around so I can make a pile of rust lol?

 

This is the rust I mean but I’m pretty sure it’s not the same as it is in game.
 

I know it’s not all one shade but the predominant one would do...just can’t get it right with my system as it’s not a real vehicle that I can track multiple angles.

I did some research (essential with these older colours)

 

this is 1970 Garnet Red...I checked model year colours and swatches and looked up the colours closest on cars.

 

 

I’m not at home to check how it looks but I typically pick from a dark area of the car and then darken that hex by between 30%-50%
 

 

So try either 3E0910 (30% darkened) or 2D060C (50% darker) and if neither work it needs to be darkened or lightened...but the colour itself is the right one.

 

post up a pic I’m curious to see how accurate my system is when I’m blind and unable to test in game.

Those are two completely different colours...

 

I can see why the creators gave up...a few posts up I researched for someone and found the name of the colour they wanted and a better picture and have two hexes to try...no gratitude whatsoever lol

 

I think I’m going to focus on my own collection

I know that maybe certain posts not doing a well enough job of explaining what the user wants and/or also certain users not being appreciative could steer color creators away but for someone who has used this thread as well as Kustom showroom for a little over a month I thoroughly enjoy the requests as well as colors made by creators. I’m newer to this thread and I decided to make an account to seek help if possible for my Kustom color needs. Not a dig at you at all but instead of commenting on a post where the user obviously doesn’t know what they want or just aren’t sure about their requests maybe find a user who does I genuinely don’t know if you’re a creator or just someone who looks for color requests and looks for how certain colors look in game such as myself or not but do not take any offense to what I said before you have that user freedom to comment on whatever post you damn well please. Just felt like giving a my own opinion and to let creators know as well people just genuinely trying to help even if not a “creator” that there are users who still respond and would be thankful for the time used to help with a request such as myself. it’s just very unfortunate to be a little late to this amazing thread and to see the creators that are/have been helping people may not always get the respect and thanks that they deserve. Super long quote I do apologize but I’m going to continue to use this thread for my crew color needs and will be more than appreciative to the people that go out of their way to find the answers to my questions.

Can I request the royal blue from the rim color? Also the midnight purple from the rim colors. I got super close with the royal blue using 0403a7 but you can tell it’s still off in the sunlight I would surely appreciate the help! sorry for no test pictures this is literally my first request.

What about #140520FF ? The problem is more with the pearl. I used blueish silver pearl as all of the pink pearls are a bit too warm.

You need to post a link to the jpg. Normally my phone lets me select "open image in a new window". The web address for the new window, that has the image only in it, is what you need.

I think the light is weird in your pick and this is the colour but you can lighten the hex now you have it regardless.

i assure you that your picture doesn’t represent the colour out of sunlight...try lightening the hex if you think it’s too dark using PineTools
