Kustom Crew Color Requests

Recommended Posts

Ah i had forgotten about the pics of the wear levels, ill try to get some done today.

thanks that would be sweet. idk if you could specifically do it with ratloaders, and if its too time consuming or whatever, dont worry about it. ill just find em and decide then to keep em or not. i need a new garage. give me 40!

Its ok i did it before with Rat Loaders and ill do it again, i might have to buy one though seeing as i don't have a bought copy and the only Rusty ones are extremely rare off the street, the Light Wear and Heavy Wear ones spawn quite regularly.

Could anyone help me to recreate this colour please? I'm trying to replicate the Lamborghini Diablo's colour from Pain & Gain to use on my infernus. I've tried a few different matt/pearl combos using greys and blacks and black brushed steel with pearl but they all just look like the primary base colour from most angles so I would probably need to do it in crew colour with the rgb/hex codes.

Right I think I've got it, use #332130

(also quick note about your signature, the one where it says 1929 and the Z-Type is in the background is incorrect as the Z-Type was not made until 1937)

Cheers mate, I'll check it out when I get a chance, it looks good on the social club but we all know it never turns out the same in game.

And I know the Atlantic was in the mid-late 30s, I weren't going for historical accuracy, just a general look. It's the earliest car I have, I weren't playing online last febuary so missed out on the Roosevelt.

Here we go this is as close as i could get it, bare in mind that you cannot add Pearlescents to Crew colors any more so it will have to be Gloss. It will also look brighter when driving around in the sunlight.

Right ok here we go i managed to find all of the Rust with wear variations on Dune Loaders. These are all Classic Sunset Red and Black to make the comparison fair.

This shade of the Blue is what the Hex is directly, I know its too bright but its still Epsilon Blue, I did make it darker but I preferred the brighter version.

Does ps3 make a difference? Because that's exactly how I want it to look but using that code mine just looks bright pink. If I wanted to darken it what numbers would I change?

If I wanted to darken it what numbers would I change? There is a trick to setting the Crew color, you type the number into the box then whilst the box is still up go straight to save Crew then it will save the right color. It always defaults to a brighter color if you try to close the box then save it. Once you have entered the code just go the the tab next to edit and back to the edit tab and it will be the color you set. Edited by ZANTHERA

Thanks mate, that did the trick, mine still looks darker than yours but I still love it. Cheers.

So a few interesting updates to this thread, I've discovered a new thing and I have a comparison Gif of the difference between Crew Pure Black and Classic Black.

dFdNFx.gif

The thing I have discovered is that there are certain Chrome wheels which can actually be painted! I discovered this by accident whilst browsing the wheels in my Rat Truck. Since discovering this I tried adding any color to the existing Chrome rims on my Dukes you will see below that I have used two different shades of red. The funny thing is I accidentally found this out a while ago but did not know it was a glitch until today, when I applied the Chrome wheels to my Dukes below I wondered why the middle area looked so dark, and it was because for a while now whenever I add custom wheels to a car the default color is Black and not Alloy, so when I changed the color to alloy they brightened up a lot. I also just noticed that you can see this affect of the Black color under the Chrome wheels on my Gif above.

Here are the wheels that can be painted, I tried every set but only these three designs in the Muscle and Off Road category can have color added to them.

Can someone create a crew color to match either of these?

If you can show a sample of what it looks like on a car, that would be great.

You know I love that crew black! Good work on the gif, I had thought about doing that before as well. You can really see the difference on a two tone.

I figured out the other day that the Fluorescent colors on this list: http://gta.wikia.com/Help:Color work only if you use the inspect element method. I was changing crew colors through the browser before and it would give the unsupported notification so I assumed they didn't work.

This is Neon Carrot:

I'll post the rest later tonight if I get a chance to play sometime today.

I just tried this color and it works if you input it normally.

^ Really? I must've done something wrong before, I had tried Shocking Pink, Electric Purple, Blizzard Blue, and several others and had the unsupported notification yet when I input through inspect element they all work fine.

That gif of the Hot Knife really shows the difference in reflection between Classic and Crew.

This reflective quality is only present on the Dark colors in L.S.C. and when you go to lighter colors the reflective quality goes the same as the Orange you see above, but with Crew colors no matter how bright the color is it will always maintain that darker level of reflection.

So as a reminder, here was the target...

ghtg5bU.jpg

DSCN0809.jpg

Here is the closest, in my opinion, to either of those. It's #823500 as suggested by Zanthera in post #131 above.

17216743472_8894bc8f6d_o.jpg

17032264219_a02dc29d31_o.jpg

Opinions? Is that dead-on, or close enough? If you've got something better, I'd love to see it, but at this point I think it's close enough that I'm not going through the trouble of changing crew colors, restarting the game, and previewing it. If you think you can do better, show your color on a car, in the same post with one of the two real Corvette photos from this post as a guide.

Thank you Zanthera!

Without a pearlecent it will NEVER be a spot on 1:1 match against the target color. As a base coat though; very close. As close as you'll ever get. I might have to employ zanthera to give me the code for ford's beautiful 'liquid blue' color. Ohhh that's a pretty color.

I maintain my earlier disagreement. The target car doesn't have a pearlescent, it has a simple one-layer color. Therefore, no pearlescent is needed to replicate it, and in fact a pearlescent would give a very different look from what's intended--the wrong look.

I feel you there. Can't wait to see how it turns out. It'll look great on a sabre turbo. Btw; you could consider making a 'color swatch' on the front page like kifflom did; but filled with crew colors.

Nah, it'll feel like a duplicated thread.

Perhaps a collab? If you ask me; there aren't nearly enough crew colors to make use of; known anyway, and what is around is outdated; relying on a glitch to work (which has been patched).
