#14FF6EAA. I spent 20 seconds making it so please tell me if I am accurate.

 

Anyone able to give this a shot? Shouldn't be too hard for you experts out there.

 

Got a better pic, or know the name of the color that I could look up. That's not the greatest shot to get a color from with all the reflection.

 

#F314FFAA. Please tell me if I'm accurate because I spent about all day working on this and ended up missing a furry convention so, you better be thankful

It is way too bright, I can instantly tell from the Hex it's far too bright. You really think a color that dark has F's in the Hex?

Grey: #2C3A38FF (I used a Silver pearl, you can use whatever) Turned out more green but that's how the cor is so...

Im trying to match the minigun color on the tampa ( secondary color)with the gold rims color

But because the texture on the minigun makes it darker i cant find good combinaison

No problem, I may work a little on the grey, was able to see it the light a bit ago and it was a bit dark.

My MOC trailer definitely has it. Primary pure black and secondary is whatever my current crew colour is.

But I haven't been able to do it on other vehicles...

Try #1085BC no suffix needed, lemme know how it looks. I tested it on a car in a race to save some cash so it had like a white pearl on it.

I just tried, and - at least on Xbox One - you can't.

 

The reason why is, I think that the car files store color as two things. Instead of it being the equivalent of "primary = #050505" it would be "primary = carbonblack" and separately carbonblack would be defined as #050505.

 

When you change a car's color to "crew" it stores that momentary "crew" value of, say, #123456. If you then change your crew color and attempt to apply #ABCDEF as a secondary, #123456 is overwritten with #ABCDEF. Why? Because there's only "crew" and not "crew_primary" and "crew_secondary" etc.

 

Remember, crew colors are for more than cars -- the whole reason the default color chooser is stuck on brighter colors is that the crew blips have to be visible on the map.

 

I wish there was a more robust and detailed way of coloring cars without all these backdoors and workarounds. It's fun when you figure it out, but super tedious when you're looking at 100+ cars you want to customize. As I've said many times, Rockstar should put more effort into expanding customization options -- no one's buying Shark Cards to play Adversary modes.

Kind of off topic, but Ive noticed that you can apply any of the colors that are locked behind racing challenges onto your trailer without actually completing the challenges.
