Kustom Crew Color Requests

Oh ok just regular matte black? I assumed it had some kind of pearlescent or tint to it, definitely makes things easier if it's just plain ol' matte. And that worn dark red is beautiful. A nice, rich colour.

Thanks Arms Dealer.

I believe I have discovered a really bad glitch for people who use multiple crews for custom colors.

Apparently, newly applied crew colors now update to whatever the current crew color is at that moment.

I set my crew color to Utility Gun Metal, applied the color to my MOC, then changed the crew color back to the previous color which was Slate Blue. I was surprised to see that my MOC was now Slate Blue after I restarted the game, instead of the Utility Gun Metal that I had just applied to it minutes before.

Does anyone have a solution for this? I play on PS4, by the way.

This only happens on the MOC trailer. A crewmate has his cab, Pure Black. Trailer is chrome/neon coloured. The trailer changes depending on the crew but the cab stays.

Honestly, pretty annoying and I have no idea why R* did that.

I wanted my MOC trailer a nice Cotton Candy Pink I made and Ice White, but..couldn't.

Hello, Im new to the forums. I was wondering if anyone had any colors that they would suggest for the unreleased XA-21, Vagner, and Nightshark. Any suggestions would be nice, thanks.

@Joonas: Thanks again for your help, had a look today and ended up mixing the 2 hex codes (lighter#D6AE4A/darker#B58218) you gave me with colorblender. Took the middle one out of 9 midpoints and it turned out to be great :).

#C69831(AA) the car in the picture has MP100 pearlescent on it. Color looks even better in game, took this with snapmatic on PS4.

JoonasPRKL, since you have already recorded the mission json data for Contact Missions on your spreadsheet, do you think you will ever add the Mobile Operation Mission and the Import/Export Mission json data to that spreadsheet? It might not be a bad idea.

A bit of a unique request this time round, but could Joonas make a hex code for a neon light colour that can be slightly noticeable at night? Like it can't be seen from a far distance but you can notice it from close up. Much appreciated!

I don't quite understand this request, care to elaborate? You mean you want a "dark" color to be used as a neonlight for vehicles?

I do apologize for my absence as well as my really, really late reply...

And yes, I do mean a dark neon light, like a really dark grey that can be visible in dark areas or at night. Maybe you could show some image previews too.

Ehh well the darkest "visible" neon would be #010101

What suffix do I have to add? I can't get #010101 to save

Is there an easier way to get crew colors to switch when you save them in social club? I set the color I want, then exit the game, then start it up again. I would love to be able to change colors and have it change instantly so I don't have to quit and restart the game.

I've now added Import/Export and Gunrunning datas to the sheet.

#010101AA

There's also a way to "refresh" the crew color by disabling your internet connection for a moment from console internet settings, it should kick you to singleplayer and then re-enable the internet connection and the crew color should have changed to the new one.

Thanks! I tried #010101AA and it's weird. It seems to be painting over my current color instead of replacing it. For example, if I have metallic green, it turns into a weird shiny metallic green.

Anyone know how to take the neon light blue color, 0215FF and turn it into a matte color?

That's probably just the pearlescent from your metallic green color staying after you put the Crew color, you can remove it just by setting the pearlescent to Black or applying a Classic black before Crew color.

Matte crew colors are only possible on PC at the moment. This is done by first applying any Matte paintjob and then Crew Color. Then you switch to sp and back to mp and your car should now be Matte Crew colored.

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this but...I have a great and easy way to find and create accurate Kustom crew colors. If you guys already know this just ignore me but:

First, find a picture of the car/color you want to replicate in game.

Place that picture here: http://html-color-codes.info/colors-from-image/

Hover the cursor over your desired shade.

Copy that hex code and paste it here: https://www.webpagefx.com/web-design/color-picker/

Darken it about 20% because it will appear brighter in game.

I hope this helped some people, as ive been using this method for months and it has saved a ton of time.

Pretty much exactly what we do. I additionally test the hex out in singleplayer to make it just right.

Sometimes the color can turn out quite differently in-game eventhough you have picked the color from the correct spot on the source picture, and how much you need to darken the color varies a lot. Also because of the blue lighting you can't trust the look of the color from inside a garage or in an LSC. Take it outside. Edited by C64fanatic

Thanks, looks awesome! But unfortunatly, nothing i can do with it. When you store a rusty car in your garage, it loses the 'very' rusty texture. And rust in gta is kind of beige, while irl its more brown/orange. An example in the link below (sorry dunno how to add images with my phone)

https://goo.gl/images/s522js

Anyone can give me a hex for it? Much appreciated!

How do you darken the hex on the page?

Is it possible to add a link to JoonasPRKL's spreadsheets in the first post somewhere? It would help a lot for those of us looking for the lsc stock hex codes

Any idea Joonas?

Can someone adjust these two? I tried and I can't get them quite how I want it

#993CF3 but more turquoise, maybe blend it with #34DDDD?

#05c1ff but more purple and less pink

I have always used these two pages: http://imagecolorpicker.com and https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp.They are pretty much self-explanatory. Try them out and have fun with them. Edited by C64fanatic

Can you try this one #29333d? You can use this to adjust the lightness https://www.w3schools.com/colors/colors_picker.asp

I don't use mods so its a toughie to test the colors, sometimes need to restart couple of times which is a pain, sorry.

The hex should be a little bit darker since an Ice White pearl will really bring out that shine.
