Kustom Crew Color Requests

I could use some help. I've been trying to enter some crew colours(specifically #351C35, Diablo SE30 purple. for my Infernus Classic), but no matter what I do it just keeps making it really light pink. I enter the hex code into the social club hex code space in the colour box, but as soon as I exit out of the colour box it changes it to a lighter purple(which results in light pink in game because the game makes crew colours lighter than they actually are). I've tried saving crew without closing the colour box, but when I go into the game after doing that it still just ends up light pink. Am I doing something wrong or is this colour simply not supported? It's quickly becoming frustrating, and I'm sure I'll have the same problem with numerous other colours since I plan to make most of my vehicles a custom crew colour to match their real life counterparts.

It looks like you are not using the correct method.

First post has a tutorial on how to enter forbidden colors, or try this bookmarklet-code:

 

 

Alternatively you could try this bookmarklet to see if it works that way

You need to copy all of the above text, make a new bookmark and paste the code as the location url.

When you are at the edit crew color-page, click the bookmark and it should pop a text field next to the Crew color as shown below

Add the color that you want in the box(remember the # / endings etc) and then press save crew.

 

 

The correct ending for the SE30 purple is AA, so use #351C35AA as the hex code.

 

That worked like a charm, thanks! I even saw that before, but I guess I'm a stubborn idiot and would rather repeatedly do things the wrong way until frustration. Just curious, but what determines which characters go after the hex(AA in this one for example)?

 

As a side note, thanks to all those who have put effort into creating crew colours here, I'll be using a lot of them and I'm sure it's not easy to get them just right(especially when trying to recreate colours from pictures and such) considering I couldn't even figure out how to apply them, haha.

Does anyone know the hex of the worn green Buccaneer? According to the NPC Vehicles thread, it's worn sea green. I can't find anything for worn sea green. Did they mean worn dark green?

The NPC Modified thread OP has some wrong color names for certain cars, the modified Buccaneer is indeed Worn Dark Green #162419AA

I'm curious if this is the same as that colour, they look pretty much the same to me and I want it for my Dukes, so maybe we could kill two birds with one stone here and both get the colour we want. I believe they're both B5 Bright Blue Poly in the color chart below.

Anyone for the Koenigsegg Zijin Purple? You can ignore all my other colors, I just want that one.

 

Also, does anyone have a video/tutorial/etc to show me where is a good place to capture the color of a car (especially in the sunlight or shadow) to get the real color of the car? That would be much appreciated and I wouldn't have to keep bugging you guys.

 

Also, thank you everyone for your colors and the work that you do. Lord knows I've spent hours attempting to get the perfect color for each car (I have some minute OCD tendencies) and this thread has helped a lot.

Yup they're the same. I was looking up paint codes and it's the B5 Bright Blue.

I'm kinda picky too, haha. I've tested it a bit, but then the sunset started in game and took away any decent lighting, so I'm posting my current findings so I don't forget which pearl is which, I'll edit more in later when I experiment a bit more. I left the real life picture in the quote spoiler for comparison.

Looks really dark still, even in the sun. A crewmate suggested I try Mamba Mia(Made by C64Fanatic), it's close..but could be a bit darker. I just left it. I did Brushed Steel then applied Mamba Mia because it has a Worn Silver pearl, came out pretty nice.

 

I'd link a picture but I(Nieces and/or Nephew, actually) lost my USB and currently waiting for one to arrive in the mail that a friend bought for me.

Can anyone tell me if its possible to glitch a pearlescent on top of a metal paint job? (metal, not metallic..) I've been driven by another player who's car looked as if it had exactly that. A pink on top of brushed steel.
