Please can someone assist with helping to find a suitable hex code for the purple/dark blue on this?

 

 

 

I've been playing about for a few weeks, I accidentally stumbled upon a purpleish blue that looked awesome (subsequently deleted it off my crew without writing it down). My plan is to find a colour that matches on a normal vehicle and the pisswasser dominator (I know logistically this is almost impossible, but as close to a match as pos, without that hideous yellow tint coming through)

Heres a comparison between you to guys colors. For some reason the game is on ultra low because my game reset my settings...

 

thats really odd, i sampled mine directly from a direct light AMG solarbeam paint and tweaked the darkness a little for GTA, on my game it looks dead accurate but on yours it seems washed out a bit. very odd. i used this http://www.motorward.com/wp-content/images/2011/11/SolarBeam-Mercedes-C63-Black-5.jpgand this http://www.zero-paints.com/userfiles/images/sys/products/MercedesAMG_GT_Solar_Beam_Yellow_Paint_Set_2x30ml_97056.jpeg for my references, because in daylight its a little more yellow than orange. seeing a solarbeam yellow in person.

all of my other colors are spot on usually but this is the only one ive had this much trouble with due to there being too many inconsistent references to hex from.

 

beginning to think its the calibration of my tv, however i spent 2 hours calibrating the color perfectly using an actual calibration program.

Ok so after a deep calibration of both monitor and tv i finally see whats wrong with my color, may post the new version but seems that the post above mine is the most accurate already. thanks for what feedback i got. just dont bash me, im new here.

 

 

 

That lower pic looks more like a BMW Austin Yellow than an AMG Solarbeam to me. But... I've never seen an AMG Solarbeam in person before, so I'll gladly defer to someone who has.

 

yeah, AMG solarbeam is like a fine line between a yellow and orange in a way. sort of like a tinted yellow really. I was at a car show recently and they had a C63 AMG Black series in that color. but theres actually a few different shades of solarbeam ive found so maybe thats why its so hard to replicate.

It happens in most of the appreciation threads, (i.e. Enus Windsor appreciation, etc...)

Basically, someone will post an awesome pic of their vehicle with a sweet color, multiple people will ask for the Hex (including myself,) and there's no response from the person who posted it. I'd understand, if they never used the Kustom thread to get colors, or if they'd prefer to privately post the Hex in a PM, but completely ignoring requests for a Hex, after asking people for hex #'s in the Kustom thread??? That's waaaaack!!! Normally I wouldn't be bothered by a lack of response, but recently, I've seen many of our colors in their garages, or I'll see them asking for Hex #'s in the Kustom thread. The selfishness is laughably ridiculous. I don't want to air anyone out, so I won't say names. I just wanted to express the frustration because it's happening far more often than it should. I'm sure many others feel the same way.

I've been trying to enter some crew colours(specifically #351C35, Diablo SE30 purple. for my Infernus Classic), but no matter what I do it just keeps making it really light pink. I enter the hex code into the social club hex code space in the colour box, but as soon as I exit out of the colour box it changes it to a lighter purple(which results in light pink in game because the game makes crew colours lighter than they actually are). I've tried saving crew without closing the colour box, but when I go into the game after doing that it still just ends up light pink. Am I doing something wrong or is this colour simply not supported? It's quickly becoming frustrating, and I'm sure I'll have the same problem with numerous other colours since I plan to make most of my vehicles a custom crew colour to match their real life counterparts.

It looks like you are not using the correct method.

First post has a tutorial on how to enter forbidden colors, or try this bookmarklet-code:

 

 

Alternatively you could try this bookmarklet to see if it works that way

You need to copy all of the above text, make a new bookmark and paste the code as the location url.

When you are at the edit crew color-page, click the bookmark and it should pop a text field next to the Crew color as shown below

Add the color that you want in the box(remember the # / endings etc) and then press save crew.

 

 

The correct ending for the SE30 purple is AA, so use #351C35AA as the hex code.
