What's the best way to make this? a brushed metal with pearl? Matte with pearl for the satin look, or crew colour? If crew could someone link me to it in this thread? I'm sure it will have been done before but searching for porsche or comet on brought up the yellow and horrible green ones.

This thread was like that to begin with but there are more text posts than picture posts than there used to be, plus it would most likely be viewed as a duplicate topic and subsequently be removed.

So, I've been trying to find a decent dark red not as dark as Wine Red and not as bright as Carbenet Red. Closest thing I've found here is #1F00AA, but this is too purple for my liking.

 

Could anyone please post a hex on a red as dark as #1F00AA but with less blue? I would prefer it to not be brownish either.

Hmm... Tried it out and it's a bit too bright. Any other suggestions? I have absolutely no ideas as to how you come up with these hex codes.

 

Try #120608AA, I darkened that hex quite a bit. I personally use http://www.colorpicker.com/ and it's very easy to use for me. You just pick a color from the color box, and it gives you the hex code. Then you have to make it quite a bit darker until it looks the way you want in-game. If I'm replicating a real life car color, I just open the picture on Paint and pick a color from the car, see what the hex is and then I insert it to colorpicker, and again make it darker until I'm happy with how it looks in-game.

You can set Pure Black as the Pearl if you set it to Chrome as the color under Chrome is Pure Black.

I'm hoping you can help with this one. I found this shafter with a teal shade of paint. It doesn't show as a color in LSC. To me it appears to look like Nissian's "Tungsten Blue" Paint code FX0.. IN LSC it appears to be blue but it's got more green in the sunlight. Just beautiful.
