Hey Zanth, I was looking through some older posts and came across this. Can you make it now? I tried the hex mentioned with FF but it came out as almost white with a very slight pink tint. Also, the box didn't go transparent. I know it needs white pearl to mach the car (which I cant do on ps3) but the base colour might look nice enough to keep.

So I've been trying to recreate a paint known as "Evening Orchid" and before anyone says anything, it's hex is above #990000 but the problem it is not going through. The main one I tried was #EED2EE and if I correctly remember, the letters are higher than the numbers. Any thoughts on why NOTHING is going through? Btw, here is what it looks like, it's a super rare Chevy color.

I have some pictures now of this color, was testing this evening and changed it and got it just right. I found another image and got this color from that, same color as above but easier to pick from.

Now that is pretty. Just a shame I'm a PS3 peasant and can't put a pearl on it. I'll try it out and post a pic soon without pearl.

 

Hmm, big difference without pearlescent. Even bigger difference in the t-shirt.

It seems that Crew colors do not look as vibrant on the older consoles as they do on the new ones, it must be something to do with the graphical quality and reflections.

Snapmatic seems to wash out colors pretty badly, unfortunately.

Ooh that one above looks like a nice challenge, its really late for me right now so i cant try it now but i can give you a Hex to go off for now.

Supposedly if you steal a car from a mission it will keep its finish once painted? I'm hoping to make a worn primer red Bucc, I regret not doing that when you could pull them from races. Trying to research this method further but I only think it was discovered recently so there isn't much info.

 

Also if that works then in theory we should be able to make worn crew color Voodoos. That was not possible with the race method.

Ah, okay thanks Zan, I'll save that to my notepad anyway for future reference. Yeah I read that about the secondary too after I posted, disappointing. Hopefully some other method is found out soon.

There was a glitch that let you bring out certain worn vehicles from races. It has since been patched.

Yeah, the current method people are using only works for the secondary. Anyone with worn primary colors most likely got them from one of the previous race methods or transferred them from LG.

Thanks again Zan! I didn't have a chance to look at the first one before you corrected it but it's definitely spot on now. It will look really good in matte I think. Does anyone else like to take the mod process slow and keep cars in matte/primer until they make up their mind on final paint scheme? I wish there were better popular primer colors available in the matte paints for that reason. There really should be about a dozen gray/black and red matte paints to chose from.

I once made a whole half-joking artsy album out of the Worn Silver Grey Zentorno I somehow acquired, lol. Here it is:

That one is sort of in a permanent state of primer, even if primer may not be appropriate here!

I think primer is absolutely appropriate on the Zentorno. Lamborghinis angular geometric stylings have always resembled fighter planes in my eye. So stealth paint just fits the Zentorno perfectly. IRL Lambos look really mean in matte/satin paint schemes.
