Feedback:
It would be unfair to judge Shake on a meet that was ruined by Xbox LIVE. One thing we can definitely judge about Shake is that Xbox LIVE hates him as he was the only one to be dropped a few times in the span of 10 minutes. So let's remove the limited time of the meet out of the equation and focus on what happened: well, we met up and did some voting which could of been faster-paced and more upbeat, to be honest. I repeated each category with more enthusiasm so those with no mics could hear (just being cautious) and to get people pumped a bit for the voting. We then cruised a little and spent a lot of time on a "ramp". It was something very different from that you see at typical meets but if you do it's usually in the middle or the end of a meet that these type of situations (where your car gets f*cked up by jumping into a wall and other cars) are done. I would suggest keeping wacky and car-scratching "events" before a recess or at the end of a meet.

I know how time can be an issue so that's why I'm so happy to join Shake's meets as they're so late (midnight, for me) so I can always guarantee to show up due to no other conflicts. The other conflict is sleep but I'm always glad to ignore that for meets. When Shake pushed the meet and when my bromance-half, Outkast, cancelled his appearance I almost bailed out too. Oh, and the fact it's mother's day tomorrow/today and I need to get up early. Despite the failure this was, I'm smiling as I look over the pictures. It was fun and worth staying up for. I'm only guessing that Shake had a horrible time as he missed most of the fun afterwards as he left. I really feel for you and hoping next time will be better. Thanks for the short but good times. As you said; this is going to give you time to fix/adjust your game(s) and plan it a bit better - told you that you knew what you got and don't got down. Time to put it to good use!

I will say that the Most unique/Car you wouldn't make category stumped me. I mention it in the pictures below so don't bump your head because I said this as your wording is just wrong. I would just keep Most Unique car and drop the "car you wouldn't make" as it make it sounds as if you wouldn't put those colors together because they're horrible or something. Also, using that car as an example was a bad choice - always use your OWN car for examples as to not offend anyone, just in case. We all love the cars we drive but we know what's wrong with them such as being too plain, too colorful, bad rims, etc. We know the good and bad side of our rides so they're easy to use as an example for a good or "bad" category. So yeah, the only "complaint" I have is just the wording on that category. Great category, by the way, definitely should keep it.

An important meeting was starting; the voting!


The first category was "Car you'd drive in real life", which was awarded to SteamingRice. Congrats!


The next category baffled me as it was "Most unique car/car you wouldn't see yourself make", which went to Magnum. Congrats? I do feel this category needs rewording/reworking as I feel it's a sort of Worst of Show but not directly. I'd stick with Most Unique only.


Magnum was so confused on his win that he was about to commit caruicide:


I won "Outfit that matches the car best". I'm SO glad I won the dress-up award. I now feel a little gay for saying that.


And De winning "Best of Show", congrats you baby-racoon!


With a dead body lying around, we left quickly!


But in a nice and orderly fashion:


Short cruise later, we do a u-turn:


And park on a sidewalk:


This was really confusing:


But like all Shake games - confusing at first, really fun once understood!


The game was simple: hit a ramp/drive-up to launch yourself:


The aim was to get on top of the ledge where the white car is:


But this green Comet made it way up there and was declared the winner:


Hash being a diamond in the rough - yes, he asked me to put that as the caption. Here's my version:

We hopped into a created deathmatch to play a fun little game where we picked one of these cars:


And these trucks were "the line"....aaaaand that's as far as we got before Shake got his first Xbox LIVE disconnect:


Quitting from that game, we met in a parking lot:


I saw a few opportunities for some decent shots so I took them:

After the cars kept ramming that wall for a few in-game hours, I realized something...

The girl is the wall, the guys are the cars. The guys kept hitting that wall (with flirts) but the wall had to be strong to reject them:

Then I realized that the analogy (haha, anal) was too weird to discuss with the group and kept it to myself:


The final pictures before doing a snipers versus Zentorno and a few adversary modes such as Come Out To Play and then doing Daily Objectives. Totally worth it!

i'm not blaming anyone, but this meet was unfortunate. t seemed like loads of fun, and i was gaining a new appreciation for a class i dont often drive in, and then, at the peak of the fun, xbox live shot itself in the face, jumped off a bridge, landing in gasoline, and struck a match. I might not make the postponed meet due to work and family matters. thanks for having me though.

Daaaaammmmmm.... My internet connection got resorted just a few hours back. Sorry i couldn't make the meet. Missed the analogy Tick (yeah i would have surely discussed that with you because of the prank you pulled) It's really nice that Tick put up pics and feedback and i got a chance to imagine what the meet would be like. Shake if the meet has been postponed to next Saturday then i don't think i would be able to make it. Already part of Steve's Meet and I think Tick is part of that event too. It would be a long one so i would probably be a no show for that one at least. Like i said your Meets are the only one that hits the sweet spot when it comes to my Timezone so i will surely keep a look out for future events!

Or simply just keep the thread in your sights. So in the mean time, I'll be thinking about plans for another meet (don't know when it will be). But as of now, see you guys next time...

Hey shake, apologies for last night. Was just too late/early for me had tryed to stay up this time, rather than set the alarm. But a 6-7am start time for a meet would clashes with morning feeding time an hour or so later, when all hell usually breaks out in my house.

 

ps I feel for you as well, I have a vast experience of been kicked from my own meets. reseting routers, turning the xbox on and off and even climbing ladders in the rain at 2am to reposition the sat dish I get my Internet through, it was somthing of a regular occurrence. While frustrating don't let it get to you, if you had things planned, use them in future meets. Will keep A lookout for the next meet.

Yeah, Shake, don't let this get you down. Steve's still a good guy yet he's the one Xbox LIVE hates the most. If a meet goes to sh*t, just go with it. I know if this happened to me I would've get frustrated but I'd try to join and set those in the lobby on a few fun objectives. You showed us early on the ramp jump thing and we used that "technique" after the demo derby connection failed so not all was lost. Can't do anything if LIVE kicks you off. Anyway, will keep an eye for the next date.

Just going to take some time to think of some new themes, and plan some more. These next two weeks will be busy as my high school has finals here soon. Will be putting some thought into it though, perhaps a movie based car theme? . Just keep an eye out! Can't wait to be back.

tick; 1987 was a good year the last time we went a whole day without rain, it was also the year Mifanwy imported the wondrous wheel. (The Welsh wheel was further improved in 89 when a team of Welsh bofins decide to smooth the corners off this creation - there is no stopping us now)

 

Yep no way of getting any other form of Internet here, accept through a seperate Sat Dish. In fact even then I can't get a direct signal, I have to get the signal relayed from another dish

fibre optic is expected to reach us some time in the mid nineties
