Laptop to TV Oversaturation

Recommended Posts

From time to time I use HDMI to connect my laptop to a TV. Problem is, the screen is slightly oversaturated. Fortunately, this isn't a problem while playing GTA IV/EFLC as it has a Saturation slider to lower it to the perfect setting, but for any other game, I have to deal with this problem. My TV settings don't have anything related to it. Solutions? This was never a problem with the PS3.

What's the model of this laptop?

nVidia cards have problems with colours when using HDMI connection, it can be fixed by using this patch: http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?p=83

I'm not entirely sure though if this issue happens on laptops too.

DELL Inspiron 15

Intel Core i3-3217-u

AMD Radeon HD 7600M series, along with one of those Intel integrated graphics

4GB RAM

AMD Catalyst Control Center has options for changing saturation to videos only, and not the screen or for videogames :*(

friendly luggage

In the Catalyst Control Centre, go to My Digital Flat-Panel and then pixel format. Try full RGB but if it's no different then it still could be your TV's display settings.

After looking further into my TV settings I found out how to change the saturation. Case closed. Thanks for the assistance.
