monk70 Posted April 2, 2015 Share Posted April 2, 2015 I have a thought that there will be no Independence FM, 'cause Rockstar didn't say anything about it yet, but they added 100+ new songs to NG version and suppose to add new radio station exclusively to PC. RyanBurnsRed Posted April 2, 2015 Share Posted April 2, 2015 I'm not too worried about it since PC has gotten a custom radio station since GTA III....but Rockstar have done complete opposites to my thoughts with GTA V alone like released the game on PS4/XBO before PC and other things so....clench your butt cheeks and hope they added it in this time as well. Nick930930 Posted April 2, 2015 Share Posted April 2, 2015 The new radio station may have been added in order to balance out the new custom radio station in the "radio wheel" Think about it, adding just one messes up the balance they had before. Adding TWO radio stations just makes the wheel bigger and keeps them more or less in the same location. That's my theory at least. Like someone already replied, ever since GTA III, the PC release has had it's own radio station for custom music. I've even prepared for it, searching for good songs to play while cruising around, sight seeing the wonderful graphics with cool tuned cars. I won't expect that to happen, because modders aren't that great. I've tried mods for GTAIV, and they mostly were broken as f***. And I'm not about to risk losing my rank 210 character online because I used mods from some kid. If independence FM truly isn't available for some insane reason, I'll just play my music in the background. The problem with that solution is the same problem that exists with the music player on current consoles. The music doesn't fade for dialogue, doesn't act like a radio, and it plays while on foot. I want the radio to be only in my vehicle and I want to control the media it plays. If there is no Independence FM, I for one will be very disappointed. It's the custom radio station from GTA IV that allows you to play your own MP3s and will act as a radio station with ads, a DJ, news reports, or as a CD/MP3 player that plays songs in the order you have them in the folder or randomly. By now it's probably too mundane of a feature for them to bother mentioning it. And if it's not there, I think it's gonna be piece of cake to mod it and replace the stations with your own. They've already quadrupled their profits off V and we've had a custom radio station on PC since GTA3. It would truly be shocking if V didn't come with one.
