It's just such a silly thing to add as a mystery prize, and Rockstar know it's silly, which is why they did it. 

 

Rockstar just want to cram as much redundant things as possible into the msyery prize in order to make your chances of winning something good, like a car, even slimmer.

Not only you can get free snacks, you can get them for free too from dead npc's you kill in missions and heists. 

 

Not gonna bother with Cancer Wheel again, had like 5 times 2500RP and 17 times 20k RP...

Upset that I missed my chance to get this using the MOC glitch. Have to wait for it again but I'm happy that its unblacklisted; and I can *eventually* own it

^ If only we could have those fantastic old liveries back, including a remove/no livery option aswell.

It'll really give it a much cleaner look for sure.

Tell me about it! I had completely forgotten how nice the other liveries look, not to mention how clean the van is without any decals on it. Was there even ever any reason given to us why R* decided to remove the liveries or is it simply just because they wanted the van to only belong to The Lost since it keeps being spawned as their vehicle in various different missions?

Nah, they're still in the game files. R*'s way of updating files is that they leave the old files in the original folder (so mpheist in this case) and simply add the new modified files to the latest patchdayXXng folder. So to get the old liveries back you just need to go to the mpheist folder and grab them from the slamvan2.ytd & slamvan2+hi.ytd in there and add them to .ytd files of the slamvan2 in patchday8ng. Obviously this is only possible on PC and only via mods so there's no way to get them back in GTAO, unless R* decides to add them back

I can also post the files here if that's allowed for anybody who would like to use them but doesn't wanna go through the trouble of what I mentioned above

Here you go, they go in \mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\patchday8ng\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles.rpf\

And again, only possible on PC singleplayer, there's no way to get them in GTAO. If you go to GTAO with those files installed you'll most likely be banned

Once you've downloaded them, rename the slamvan2hi.ytd file to slamvan2+hi.ytd for some reason the plus sign gets removed

Maybe (trying to be super optimistic here) the reason it can't be bought outright at the moment, is rockstar is working on integrating the slamvan custom parts into this slamvan model. They *add* it to the game with the only official way of obtaining it being an impossibly low chance on the wheel. Rockstar maybe "If you win it at these low odds, good for you, here's your truck. If not, wait a while and purchase the *new* slam(van) custom." If that's the case, I don't even know what they could call it.
