Carbon VS Double-T

"Bruh... Get the Bati."

No. I already have that. I also have the Akuma.

I just want a different bike to have fun with. I find the Carbon and Dinka Doulbe-T to be the most attractive ones left (that I don't own).

I want to use the Carbon or DT for speeding around the hills between Los Santos and Blaine County. If you haven't done this in first person (next-gen), I highly recommend it. Super fun. And good practice for racing.

So... Opinions?

I don't have the Carbon RS since I don't have Collectors Edition but imagine its pretty swagalitious but I recommend the Double T.

I've had the Carbon since launch. I think it's a top bike. Can't change the looks much though.

Hey, thanks for all the replies guys.

@JakeHorgrove: can you change color? Or is making it full carbon the only option?

I'm still undecided... And since I'm at the beginning of the career (switched to PS4 from PS3 recently), I can't just test stuff fully modded.

Double T you can mod more on it. Looks nice done up too and has nice handling.

Have them both.

I do not think that either of them is better than the other.

I would go with the "looks" I like more.

I think the DT in this case.

I have both. Can't decide which I like better - both are excellent. I voted for the one I'm using at the moment, the Double T.

You can test vehicles in the race creator. I think they're stock versions, but it will still give you an idea of which is better.

I had tried that. I couldn't test out the Carbon RS. :[

carbon rs is expensive to mod

Yeah... I found out. Thanks for the warning!

Cartbon RS. ALthough its not the fastest id get it for its uniqueness

That's what I'm thinking: uniqueness.

So: I just went for it and got the Carbon RS.

I wish we could change the exhausts; the bike's only design flaw in my opinion.

No regrets really. It still looks cool, unique and sounds good. It's fast enough fully modded; though the top speed is lacking.

Warning for anyone thinking about the Carbon RS:

Like JELLY UNICORN said: it's expensive to mod.

It cost me about 250k total. (And I can guarantee you won't win any races against a competent player using a Bati/ Akuma.)

40k for the bike

50k Turbo

~40k Engine

35k brakes

40k (I think) for the transmission

25k Bullet proof tires

12k (for both wheels - not chrome; chrome is 20-30k, per wheel)

5k custom wheels (I'm gonna remove them though)

2k paint on wheels.

7k xenon

Thanks for all your feedback guys!

If you're trying to race then, there's no contest, grab the Double-T.

That's pretty much just any other car.

I've done fine as far as races go in the Carbon. It's not the fastest but it's good enough.

You cannot do wheelies with it though. I've tried to do the 10 second wheelie daily objective and had to use a PCJ.

"That's pretty much just any other car."

Yeah I know. That's what makes it expensive to mod. It's a bike, after all.

"If you're trying to race..."

I'm not. I was just warning anyone else maybe thinking about it for racing.

"I've done fine as far as..."

I find that hard to believe. Either you're god-like (and why not...) or you haven't raced against anyone decent using Akuma/ Bati (also possible).

If the people are about the same skill caliber, Bati/ Akuma will always beat an RS by a few seconds per lap. I can tell by just cruising around. But, Broughy's videos confirm my intuition.

And if you happen to race against someone better than you who's using an Akuma: you're beyond f*cked.

There's a thing called "quote".

See, I was hesitating: "Should I explain myself now, or assume that no one's going to be dumb enough to ask?"

Well, first of all: If you look at this thread, you'll notice that I have quoted, even MULTIQUOTED (gasp!).

Secondly, I didn't quote/ multiquote this time cause the first quote included a HUGE wall of text that did not, at all, need to re-appear. So I decided to simply not quote at all.

Believe what u want, the Carbon is a fine bike for races as I said. I didn't say it was the fastest or best. Just trying to throw my 2 cents in your thread.

LOL The Carbon is only good if you're not racing a good racer.

I think the Carbon RS has slightly better acceleration and turning, but the Double T has superior top speed. My favorite cruise bike is easily the Enduro however.

Also, the Double T has body modding, unlike the RS

I have both and the double t is better. Just more fun to ride. The carbon is a good bike too but feels like its slower. Hakachou Bati 801RR and Double T are the best bikes. Im a bike collector and leader of a new bike crew.

Since you are a bike collector (as I am too) you shouldnt put DT in the same category with Hak or Bati.

Best bikes in the game:

Overall :Bati

LS cruising:Akuma

Outside LS cruising:HaK or any western bike (if you like choppers)

Offroad:only one choice here.

But Double T is maybe a little better than Carbon(top speed). But not much difference.

Had to sell both of these recently for room - you can always get the Carbon in single player to check it out first.

Handling on the Carbon is awesome and it's super light, but the Double T is faster. The all-black on the Carbon is kinda cool, but I like the two color scheme on the Double T. I would pick the Double T if forced to choose between the two, but if I ever get a 4th garage and can have my all-bike garage again, I will have both.

Actually i run a bike crew and i beat my group from the docks to ls customs and no one crashed. if i can pull back without crashing the double t outruns the bati and the hakachou. The double t is a very fast bike. Its just you have to lean back at top gear. Edited by mysteriousamg
