This is my character: As you can (probably - sorry about the filter) see, he's black and has a reasonably normal face Now, for some reason when I do heist setups, this is what my character becomes: White, fat cheeks and has a big head It's a very odd glitch, I've heard of people complaining about missing hairstyles, but not this. If it still works, try doing the character appearance glitch. As soon as you've done the glitch correctly and gone into the character creator, your character should be rewinded all by itself. Ghost XB Posted March 28, 2015 Share Posted March 28, 2015 Its an old conspiracy that when your offline your character does some shady things such as having s*x with dolls, having s*x with teddy bears, and having s*x with goats. Your character appears to have done plastic surgery while you were offline and got a skin tone change. Hopefully you have learned to be on GTA Online all hours of the day so that your character does not ever again do these shady things. onefast96svt Posted March 29, 2015 Share Posted March 29, 2015 (edited) My guy didn't change colors but my face changed a lot. R* opened my character up for facial change again. So I re-did my face totally. Doesn't look as good as before but it's better than the egg head with bug eyes that I got after that last update. My male character became darker and his face ballooned around the the cheeks and forehead. His eyes were also different. I was like, sh*t, I went from Colombian looking dude to Dominican! What I did to remedy the appearance change was to change out my glasses in my apartment closet. That seems to have reverted to my original appearance. Hope my tip helps those afflicted. Sometimes it's just facial structure that changes, other nights he's turned black. WTF R*? How can you screw something up that already worked? Problem is apparently how the game reads files - instead of loading your actual character settings, it gets confused (due to the bug), and grabs either another player's or even random ones, pulled from temporary data. Good news: It's easily undone, your character's appearance isn't actually altered (it's just the game not loading your settings, not CHANGING the settings), and it's so widespread, R*'s apparently getting on with fixing it ATM. Bad news: doing missions (and heists, by extension) is more likely to make it happen, for reasons as yet unknown. Freemode is mostly safe (particularly if you're in a closed session - fewer other facial settings for the game to try and use!), and even races are ok, but if you want to do contact missions or heists, you're going to have to risk the bug, and go through the hassle of swapping characters/sessions to undo it afterwards. Me? F*ck it - going to just get on with 'Snapography' and mopping up Freemode awards for the time being... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
