Lowering the Sultan?

Hoping someone can help me out here, I'm trying to lower the Sultan with no luck at the moment. Someone told me to use a silenced sniper, it blew up. A guide on youtube said to shoot the arches but then you get bullet holes on your car. Help?

Use the marksman rifle and shoot each wheel below the centre 14 times and it will lower 2 levels

Start with the rear wheels first

Be sure to shoot slowly and use a suppressor to not attract LSPD attention

Just managed to get it down with the standard sniper by shooting the absolute bottom of the rim whilst kind of standing over it, is the marksman rifle more effective?

Its weaker so it does less damage to the car (assuming it takes the same amount of shots to lower)

I just use the spamsmen rifle since its my only suppressed sniper

I just counted 5 marksman bullets before it blew, where should I be shooting the rear wheels?

I can slam the front of any car, but the moment I try to slam the back wheels it explodes. Any car. The only one it never blew up was the Serrano.

As a general rule of thumb I always make to shoot out the lowest point on the rim I can get away with without risking blowing the tyre, usually works a treat

I do the exact same thing. Shoot the lowest possible point without hitting rubber. They still explode, whether I shoot the front down first or not.

yea maybe it is the weapon choice. I used to use no armor and 17 shots of the combat pistol to each wheel, but that stopped working. Lately I've been using the special carbine, which lowers the front like a dream, but maybe that's what's blowing the car up in the back.

I always use silenced SMG to lower my cars, only run into problems with the sultan

I just shoot the centre of the rim with a carbine. Car fully armoured
