Picking your vehicle before a mission...

Vehicle Choice: Contact Mission Lobby

100 members have voted

  1. 1. Would you like an option to choose your vehicle in a mission lobby?

    • Yes
    • No
    • Don't care...(why am I even voting?)

Its a feature used in Heists....while waiting in the lobby you can choose which vehicle you use for that particular part of the heist...

I would love to see this feature added to contact missions...

for some that do a lot of CMs, whether hosting or joining, they tend to drive around public/private lobbies in the car they would like to use for missions

which is usually a Zentorno or some other supercar (to race every1 to the mission objective)

If this option was introduced do you think people would be more inclined to use more of their owned cars (in sessions), knowing you wont start a mission in your rat loader or BMX for example

Maybe people will use more of their 30 cars and we would see a wider variety of cars in sessions

or do you think most people will just stick to trolling backwards in zentornos anyway....

what do you guys think??

Oh my gosh, yes! Especially, if I start a contact mission in my apartment, only to realize, "D'oh! I don't have a car!" Then while everyone is at the objective already, I'm sitting at the start waiting for my mechanic feeling like a dummy.

Definitely yes, while they're at it they could add the outfit selection option too.

It would be useful.Sometimes it´s annoying to wait for the mechanic to deliver my vehicle if all of them were in garages when I started the mission.

Great idea. I always go with my pimped up Zentorno because of the speed (for driving far in the map for a mission) and looks. Would be nice to actually drive my other cars as they're just sat in the garage.

I've been wanting this feature since forever! some missions require off-road, some require speed! I would to pick the best suited car for the job, it seems like a no brainer.

You mean "Starting vehicle" as there is already an option to choose a "Starting weapon"?

Absolutely!

Arrows to Athens

Yes but I don't want it to be like heists where if you choose what vehicle you want it overwrites your current one in free roam. Maybe they should add an option if you want it to overwrite your current PV in free roam or not. That will be much better.

very good point....like that mission where you have to follow the helicopter off road to the police raid, id use my own custom buggy, bifta or sanchez...which dont drive around in often

Yes definately, I use my dirt bike sometimes and when getting an invite to a mission it would be nice to change it to another bike.

Yeah because sometimes you want something quick, and other times you just want some beefy Insurgent to plow through everything in your path.

Edit: Freakin patches all the time with this game. Made me type patch instead of path. Damn you R*.

Have you used an insurgent or armored Kurama in a mission those things ARE weapons =)

An absolution that one way or another they will ALL die if outside where a vehicle can whack em one =)

Yeah. It would be nice if you could choose a vehicle that suits the location, theme or type of the mission.

I have plenty of vehicles, but usually I choose the best all-rounder and just go with that. If we're in the desert area or in the woods, a nice off-road vehicle would have my preference. But if I've got my Zentorno out or something like that, it's often not worth it to move away from it, call the mechanic and then wait for the delivery while everyone else is already on the first objective.

I can see this idea having a good chance to come in an update in the near future. If it has been implemented in heist lobbies, I don't see why they wouldn't consider it.

Pegasus selection is just wishful thinking, but I do love both of these ideas.

It would prevent me from constantly blowing up my hot rod blazer at the start of a contact mission, lol.

It would be convenient since I usually start a mission with a vehicle I dont want to use

For the love of god I hope they don't do this. Already starting to dislike my heist crew little by little as they soak up precious time choosing a f*cking outfit :/

On the flipside I guess this could be corrected by lowering the setup time for both heists and missions. Seriously annoyed by slow outfit choosers.

I mean, people will never stop using the Zentorno.

But, yes. This would be a great feature.

The ability to choose a vehicle prior to missions would be a good addition.

It's not often I get caught out I admit, and if I'm running missions solo I wouldn't really need it much. But there are times it is useful. I wouldn't have to plan ahead what car I fancied driving that day. Or drive ages in a stolen car to retrieve one of my mission cars before I even try to join a mission.

Ok people would probably still choose the Zentorno they always drive anyway, but I'm sure there are enough of us who would make use of that feature to warrant it being included in regular missions also.

Yes, definetly.

If I know I'm going into missions I'll often grab a specific vehicle, usually the Bullet for its mix of speed and handling, before joining.

Nowt worse than spawning in and looking straight at a Faggio you were messing with in free roam...

Mr. Crowley

It would be nice, but they'd also have to add where everyone has to ready up before the host can launch. Otherwise it would be pointless as the game would get launched while you were trying to scroll through your vehicles.

Sure would be a nice feature, but even with it in heists I've had so many set up missions where parked outside of the apartment is 3 cars and a bmx, or trevor's blazer, or some other super bike that the rider keeps flying off of.
