Cyper
I just want to share a few words with fellow gtaplayers. There is a lot of discussions about the future Singleplayer DLC. There is also a lot of speculations and rumors. We all know the story; people swallow speculations and rumors as if it was the truth, or they come up with their own ones, and once Rockstar release something and these rumors is shown to be false, people blame Rockstar for 'misleading' or even false marketing. Right now, people are making up their own stories about the future Singleplayer DLC. Even serious Gaming Sites spread rumors, such as the Casino rumor which there is absolutely no evidence for at all. I can't keep away from wondering what any possible Singleplayer DLC would look like. As far as I know, the latest intel I got was that Rockstar said that there wont be any DLC in the size of TboGT or TlaD. I don't know if this still is correct or if they have made any new announcements. I do hope that people don't expect too much from any Singleplayer DLC. At this period of time it's likely that huge dissapointment comes with huge expectations. Many people get very emotional and don't want to see the truth; Online is the core of GTA V. Claiming that previous games was not does not change the present. Online is the heart of the game and Rockstar does indeed treat it as such. I don't see why people simply can't adapt to this fact instead of behaving, waiting and hoping as if Jesus (Singleplayer) was about to come to earth and everything will become like it was before (- 2008). Personally, I believe if there is a Singleplayer DLC there may be some story missions, a few new weapons and vehicles for Singleplayer. Not much more than that. It's quiet a shame, though. I have always seen Rockstar as a gaming company with lots of integrity and innovation. What I see now is less integrity and less innovation due both content and the way of business copied from other franchises. Tell me your thoughts, but keep the discussion civil. CarlitoDorito
Everybody should expect nothing, because gamer disappointment is getting worse and worse every year no matter what they get. Then when it comes you might be surprised in a good way, rather than a "what?! They removed 267 of the current vehicles and stopped guns working! 3 new random events and a f*cking car!" Way. Turan
GTAV sold more than 45 million copies and counting. Rockstar would be crazy if they didn't release a proper single player DLC. So I'm cautiously optimistic. Miscer

Osho
Did they not say earlier that they were not goign to release a DLC in the size or TboGT and TlaD? Article - Rockstar has hinted that the SP DLC would be a "12 to 20 hour chunk of all new scripted solo player missions, characters, you name it." 18 months is a long enough period for them to give the single-player fans a good DLC. If their efforts are honestly being directed at improving the SP experience, and not because they have to make something to throw at us, then I don't think, I like to give up any hope until any further details are known. I'd definitely not expect too much, but I don't want to give up any hope on something good coming out of this long wait either.

CarlitoDorito
If anyone is expecting a new map in the SP DLC you're gonna be disappointed. At least, 25 missions with some content updates, radio and things. For a good one anyway. Although 25 missions doesn't seem like enough for 3 characters, especially if it's continuing where V left off. I'm sure it'll be good, maybe rockstar will want to show off and make a bigger DLC than before "rockstars biggest DLC yet" will sell well. There's a lot of potential for add ons too, prequels especially. Expect nothing, although in a "i don't want my own expectations to destroy it" way, rather than an "I expect nothing because everything they make is sh*t" way. It means nobody will quote every old post you made about there never being any good SP stuff to win an argument

RominOctane
I've given up expecting good things from rockstar a long time ago. Remember when they said they were releasing a mini dlc with assasination missions along with flight school mission? That ended up being an online only update which didn't even have assasination missions. That's when I gave up all hope because I saw the direction they were headed. Now with the heists dlc, they break singleplayer and don't even give enough f*cks to acknowledge the fact. The SP dlc will be the same. You'll probably be lucky if your game even boots up after downloading the dlc. The dlc itself I don't expect to be anything noteworthy. Magic_Al
I too got the impression from R* comments about the circumstances of the GTA IV DLC that maybe they wouldn't be doing something that big again, but now I'm not so sure. What makes me think a big SP add-on is now again more appealing to R* is one old reason, that it's such a long and expensive process to make a new GTA world that it's best to get multiple stories out of each one, and a new reason, that GTA Online has kept people engaged with the game over a long time much more so than GTA IV multiplayer, so the concern about releasing SP DLC so many years after core game should be less than for TLAD and TBOGT. Official General
I don't know if even still give a sh*t about this SP DLC for V anymore. Rockstar are taking such a long time that at this point my interest in it has greatly waned. And I just don't see what it would do better the game anyway. I'm pretty sure they will be no more new interiors added, there will still be hardly crime side activities, gang AI will remain the same having alleged gang rivals chillin' peacefully with each other in the streets, the story will just be an extension of more b*tching between Michael and Trevor, Franklin's selfishness and indulgence in his new-found wealth and luxury, and probably more corny ass Hollywood and FIB/government bullsh*t. Let's just face it, V is a washed-up disappointment as far as the SP experience goes. It had the chance to be the ultimate GTA SP experience, but Rockstar already blew it a long time ago. Bring on the next GTA already, please. Edited March 29, 2015 by Official General Cyper and A.O.D.88
Magic_Al
It was two years from the release of GTA IV that PS3 and PC got the Episodes (due to X360 timed exclusive), so SP DLC coming this fall would not be unheard-of lateness. It would even seem timely to people who waited for the PC version. And like I said, GTA Online should mean the DLC market two years from launch is more viable than the IV DLC market was at the same point. The SP DLC would probably come with some new Online content too, since Online loading screens will be a primary way of advertising the SP DLC. The biggest semi-plausible idea I can think of would be a new SP story that takes the GTAV characters to Liberty City, and the addition of Liberty City to GTA Online. Maybe that's crazy talk, but it's the sort of thing that even players who think GTAV is played out might want to try. Turan
