Selling Cars to other players

None of these exploits are put in on purpose but some players are deliberately looking for ways to override the system, which means the blame is squarely placed on them. If people didn't abuse these exploits (or worse, broadcast them online for others to share) then the majority of players wouldn't even know they're there. They're not DELIBERATELY placed in the game, they're just oversights.

GTAV/O is a vast game. Testing every single combination for bug-free gameplay is an enormous task. There will always be fixes and patches for games this complex but the least the players could do is to actually play by the rules and stop trying to break the damn thing constantly for their own ends.

Fixing a known problem is up to R*, agreed... but don't you think they already have a list of priorities to get through? What they don't need is squeakers, scrotes and dickheads causing more issues than previously identified and expanding that list. Seriously, i'd bet that this was a contributing factor as to why Heists took so long to go public.

But they are fixing the bugs.. And 2 days later someone comes up with a new exploit. It's basically a cat and mouse game, and it'll continue for aslong as people are looking for loopholes. So yes, the glitchers and abusers are to be blamed for this, solely. Not Rockstar.

What alot of people don't seem to comprehend (and I am not blaming them for it) is, that diagnosing the cause for bugs or erroneous behavior can be very time consuming and hard, especially in a game that has such a tremendous amount of content such as GTA V.

Hell, if we go this way, we could actually indirectly blame glitchers and exploiters even for the slow pace of updates / fixes in GTAO. Having Rockstar waste tens or hundreds of man hours just trying to fix and safeproof every single hole in the script which would probably never even pop out unprovoked, effectively stops them from writing new script and spending those hours doing something productive.

Now real bugs, bugs that bother all the players and cause gamebreaking issues, that's on Rockstar, and they should fix them ASAP. (Though it'll take slightly longer since their programmers are busy trying to keep the world together with all the thousands of people trying to abuse their system to the maximum).

Ok. I withdraw my comment about the blame being on R* - I didn't know these particular exploits were caused by players deliberately damaging the game. I thought they were the result of a previous patch. :)

I thought of this a while back. Say somebody has a fully upgraded car they don't want anymore, but LS gives them $120k and somebody else wants the same fully upgraded car, they could buy if off that person for say $150k. Even though somebody would find exploits and ruin the whole thing. Good idea but it won't happen.

Forza 4 has an auction house that worked great, other than the fact i bought an Audi R15 for 200k(Retail 2 Mil) all the other cars were priced by users fairly.

If R* were to implement this, it would have to base the sale price off of the LSC sale price, plus 15%? as LSC value show depreciation.

Users wouldnt be able to set prices.

This again?

Why would one player buy a car from someone else when it will cost each player the exact same amount of time, effort and money to have the same stuff?

In-game selling only works when there is limited supply, which GTA does not have as far as cars go.

If we can sell cars to each other for anything less than the standard purchase price, there will be no reason to ever buy a car directly from R* again. I don't see them letting that happen.

how about selling your car with a custom unique paintjob made by yourself?

Why not, instead of HURR 5 DOLLAR ADDORZ", the sell price is FIXED to whatever price you would get for selling the car. For instance, a fully modded Stratum sells for 15k. My low level friend really likes my Stratum. So, I highlight his name, click "offer to sell" then it pulls up my properties, then the cars with price tags. Scroll through, click the Stratum, then he gets an email/message. If he accepts, the 15k is transferred to me.

When me and my Girlfriend finally move in together, I think it would be a great way to gift her cars to use before she hits level 100 and we grind the races, assuming she actually wants to play online.

As cool as this would be, it would be abused with Real World Traders. Someone like myself could make hundreds of dollars IRL simply filling requests, taking PayPal, and selling vehicles of their choice for cheap game money. Runescape and older Forza games are filled with this.

And the funny thing is people saying things were priced fairly by people on Forza completely neglected the 999999999cr cars on there because people cheated all the f*ckin money and would max out bids on things and you could never buy some of them.

There is no used car market -- there are no unique vehicles and LS Customs buys everything. Anyone's real complaint is just with where R* has set the trade-in price. I suggest getting over it. Unless you want to RP placing crappy ads that no one looks at of a crappy vehicle that is overpriced, and whine about it not selling. I mean, I can ignore that website.

despite the modders/glitchers/hacks, it would not work, i doubt they would allow players to sell their vehicles to other players.

1. the person selling would not be able to sell for more than what they can get for it in LSC, otherwise what is the point of even selling it to LSC or even having this feature if players would pay more?

2. person buying would have to pay full price of the vehicle plus the added upgrades, might as well just buy it straight from the websites instead.

so, the only way it would happen is if the person selling got no more that what LSC would give and the person buying would have to pay full price plus added upgrade cost. there is no real way of doing this without screwing someone over whether it be you, them or R* (R* as in they would not like people to by pass the websites and game features (race/level locked items) to get a vehicle for less than was intended).

selling for REAL money? no way, because there is a section in the TOS that covers this. just go look it up if you do not believe.

"5$ for 5 fully modded Adders" websites would pop up within an hour.

I think he means an in-game website made by Rockstar where you sell them for GTA$, not real money. Now, assuming Rockstar made this website, let us set the prices and you are of course talkng about GTA$ and not real currency, I seriously hope nobody would sell 5 fully modded Adders for $5... the car alone costs $1,000,000.

Yeah but if they added this I would get another account and mod it, then I would make a website where I could sell the cars in game for a paypal transaction. Not rocket science.

I would then be making IRL money for selling pixels in a make believe fantasy world

Most of the money in forza is from hacked accounts... Believe me I know ;)

I think it would be great, especially if there were more mods and custom liveries for cars.

but, isnt the problem with overwealthing community because of hackers already exist? If someone knows a person who is deeply in mods, what is the difference between spawning bags of cash with thousands of $ or just selling zentornos for 1$ to someone?

as far as your breath dosent smell like a dick flavour and you dont use exploits, this topic should have go in a little bit different direction. Obviously, if it was ok, nobody would hack, everyone would love it. and talk about it, but you rather want to imprecate the whole conversation to "nah, cheetorz". I mean, its like wasting Your time, since nothing important or interesting were added to the thread with talking like this.

Just try to forget about hacks. its a conversation after all, nothing more, it would be nice if it get us somewhere further for once. for f*ck's sake.

For me selling cars would've work IF Rockstar have created special tool for custom paintjobs, just like in FORZA. Afterall, people above 100 Lvl have usually unlocked all modifications for cars, so it would be useless for them. The scenario changes, when You can buy unique paintjob that noone would have in whole Online World.

You could say the same thing about the whole in general. Hackers can summon up money and rp and any objects with a push of a button. But people still play missions to earn money and rp, to unlock stuff, and level up. I never mod or glitch or grind. I mainly play for fun but still got up to level 100.

It wouldn't be useless for people who had all mods unlocked anyway if you could buy it cheaper than it would normally be. Don't want that 9F? Maybe someone else does but doesn't wanna spend the 400k+ to buy one and mod it out.

Either way, it's never going to happen cus of all the glitches people are abusing, same reason we will never see the online stock market happen.

Like Forza? You're selling the actual paintjob there, built with the in-game tools. GTA has no such function.

Not that I'd say no to it if it did. Forza-style custom paintjobs would goddamn rock and would make our cars truly unique.

You're getting the wrong figure here.

The way I see it, you can set the price you want for your car but with the minimum being it's LSC value. So for example my full tuned Elegy sells for 100k at LSC if I wanted to put it in the used car market I couldn't just set it for 50k or even 1 in game dollar.

And you mentioned that people wouldn't use LSC anymore, but you forgot that this is a feature that depends on human interaction, I mean sure I could put up 200k for my Elegy and get twice of it's value, but what gives me sure it will sell at first place? And how long will it takes to sell my car? These are things that aren't in user control since depends on other people's willing to buy the cars. So basically if you just wanna get rid of your car you'd still take it to LSC rather than waiting countless hours or days to rack it up it's value.

Yeah, it doesnt, but should have

I was posting this idea a few times here:

a tool ready to create your bussiness based on in-game internet and social club.

You design paintjobs, clothes like tshirts, helmets etc, and graffities.

the emblem creater looks like it could be a first step into this kind of playing.
