Igor Bogdanoff
Buying retail - Price, map, cover. definitely cd. rather have a hard copy... dont want to be downloading the entire game if i need to uninstall and re-install again... specially with mods. That is why Steam made "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" it checks what files you have different to the version they have on server and then it will download only those files you have changed. Chris S
I had the same struggle:p i went for steam cause of the preload and i want to play it the minute its out me too someone might hack it before. that is bad about the preload and it might work lol. but day one patch will kill preload cracked games.. I am buying a retail copy because my 4g data is at 10 gb cap after that 150kbps. So retail for me but i am just waiting for some days to see how optimization is. me to i hope the dvd drive read write vs ssd read writes from steam are about the same or you cant tell when playing a game.. loading etc.. I'm buying a retail copy but I also hope it will be Steam redeemable its not. buy a steam card at a store or by the physical disc copy the discs will be collectors also after years and years.. steam you cant hold on too. I'm buying a retail copy but I also hope it will be Steam redeemable with discs? no its SC version yeah he is right its running off social club just like iv did. just probably no gflw? idk bout that part.. definitely cd. rather have a hard copy... dont want to be downloading the entire game if i need to uninstall and re-install again... specially with mods. yeah that is what i was saying but im wondering if its going to perform better vs ssd steam reading writes.. say i want to take the game to highest point. this is something crucial cd drive vs steam! Chris S
I'm buying a retail copy but I also hope it will be Steam redeemable with discs? no its SC version Social Club version? How do you know it? its going to be the same as iv on pc.. ust probably more stable and load faster.. and probably linked to your online stuff but its not going to use sc as an addon download. its build in the game.. and runs only with it. but im not sure if gfwl will be used? If I buy it on Steam, can I still play if I log on on diferent computer with my account, will it download again or what ? no its not transferable you need buy a new copy(code) serial code(s) are non-transferable once used per one pc https://support.rockstargames.com/hc/en-us/articles/203428177 it really said per pc? i think you can just log in just like you have on steam with all other games and validate the pc but there is a certain amount of pcs you can validate to use your steam but only one can log in at a time to steam to play.. and you unvalidate the older or remove the original steam pc from the list.. utack
Retail: A little cheaper Steam does not get a cut off the money (Yes Steam is ok, but it does not have to be) Probablly in stores earlier (Maybe DRM does not allow to play before launch, but worth a try) A physical disc is just nice to have and look at wackojacko66, quejki, mis009 and 2 others

Crystal3lf
It's going to be funny when all these people walk into their game store and get given a key-code for the download. If you think Rockstar are putting a 65gb game onto CD. What is there? 7gb per DVD now-a-days? You think you're going to get 9 CD's to install the game? haha. This is what you're going to get, either a Steam or RSSC key: http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/302cqh/we_got_these_today_at_work/ Edited March 28, 2015 by Crystal3lf Phil Cassidy7 and gajrajgchouhan
