R*-Penalize Heist Trollers

I'd been happy with a level 1, better that sitting along in a empty lobby for an hour waiting... Who's to say they aren't a level 500 player on a new account, most new characters are.

If it's a level 1 then it's definitely somebody's second character because it means that they've skipped the tutorial. It also means that they've probably got money in the bank. And hopefully/probably the first thing they did was go to ammunation and buy the dlc guns.

 

I did actually quit the mission as host the other day. I had a level 5 during the prison setup: Plane. Every time he'd go charging in, not taking cover, with a pistol.

 

If the same person dies stupidly three times I assume that he's trolling and I'll quit on the 4th.

R* could fix the trolling if they wanted to, all they have to do is add a Heist completion % stat along with a % mission completed stat,

 

There are randumbs out there who spend all day sabotaging missions and heists,

 

The host would be able to kick the Trolls in the lobby before starting a mission or Heist

but then again...

 

how would the system be able to determine if im deliberately quitting or sabotaging the heist or if im just laggin and getting booted by the magnificent cloud servers?

 

im sure my % stat would be below 50 due to all the disconnects.

 

heck the other day, i was doing series A with some randoms, amid mission there was a huge lag spike, the entire world disappeared, i falled through the ground for a couple seconds before the "unknow network error" screen pop up.

 

booted back to SP... when i go back to gtao, i was welcomed with the message "you have left a job recently bla bla bla bad sport bla bla bla"

 

Everbody would have a % of the stat they couldnt control, but if your under 50% I wouldnt start a mission with you,

i played wireless for years with no issue at all lately im using a cat6 cable directly to the ps3, with no difference in performance.

 

its not my connection, its R* crappy servers.

Suicide penalties? Yeah.... that's not going to work. I and other players sometimes get killed by NPC drivers who become pussies the second they hear gunfire and speed away right into whoever is on the street. Has happened several times in Heist setups to me like Hack, Trash Truck etc.

Heists are such a good idea, and when they work with a team of friends or just randoms who are serious players, it's great.

 

A majority of Heists are complete non-starters for me. I've managed just two Heist finales since the launch, and completed maybe half a dozen set-ups.

 

A good Heist crew needs players to communicate, be somewhat proficient at the game, have a sense of tactical awaresness, and be willing to go again if it all fails. Sadly, for me at least, finding a group with all of those attributes is few and far between.

Aside from the frustation of waiting and waiting and waiting for players to join a heist, and players leaving in the middle, the other major frustration I have is trying to cooperate or fight against players who appear to be online via a f*cking dialup connection! I despise lagged players, and you'd have trouble pointing fingers at my connection for lag issues because I'm on BT Infinity 2 which gets me an actual 76 megabit down & 18 megabit up.

you know what is really annoying and another reason why randomer's might quit or die easily, when the stupid host clicks start mission immediately after the 4th randomer joins how about you give the random some f*cking time to make-up his mind whether he wants to either play that particular heist/setup (since even when you try to join lobby you could be the 4th player joining), as not everyone wants to do the boring prison break heists all the time lol, or maybe wait for him to refill his armour and ammo, so you know he doesn't die in the first hail of gunshots that come your way lol

I would rather be able to do the heists by myself. I already completed them all with randoms. I don't have the same patience to wait for three other people to join like the first time around. If someone leaves or die then they don't get pay, unless the whole team die. For the heists that really require more than one person, we'll put some A.I to help. Though I would welcome the challenge of doing some heists by myself.

No I want them to punish you for personally changing modes by holding down the DPAD or pressing pause and clicking "Find New Session" or something like that

 

 

I'll unplug my ps4 and "lose connection" that way. I'll turn off my router.

 

Not to mention this is likely to be idiotic because I doubt you can kill yourself in heists since you can't "push the suicide button" in missions

ppl constantly gets dc'ed from all multiplayer aspects of this game, nothing you can really do about that, however whenever i play with my one remaining friend thats still on last gen we get nothing but trolls who deliberately fail the missions, i sincerely hope all of them die in car accidents irl, or at least get crippled

You're in the UK where this is rated as an 18+ game, and your username contains "99" and from much experience working with kids the number they use in their name generally relates to their DOB year. So if you were born Jan 1st 1999, that would make you 16 years old...

I've dealt with Insurgent trolls during heists recently. Twice during setups there were these guys who were driving insurgents and wouldn't allow you to pass them on the freeway therefore wrecking your vehicle. Then when we would get to the first checkpoint the jerkwad in the insurgent then pushed the the rest of the teams cars into the water.

 

I'm not going to play with an idiot like that. I decided to leave and quit playing after the third person doing that.

So, R* should punish anyone who leaves (IE: Suddenly had something to do IRL or they lagged out (Which is still very common)) and anyone who accidentally crashes, gets run over or falls out of unintentional goofs?

 

Do heist trolls exist? Yes. Is this the way to go about it? No. You're over simplifying the way GTA Online works in the wrong ways. Just because they left doesn't mean they did it to 'troll you' and just because it says 'User committed suicide' means they pulled up the select menu. There's more than one way to trigger the suicide death alert.

They shouldn't because it's YOUR choice who you do heists with... if you do it with randoms then that's your fault if you get trolled.

 

Join a crew or play with friends man it's that simple.

A lot of games have this kind of punishment. I really think it should be implemented.

 

For instance, if the player leave more than X jobs in less than Y hours, this player should have a punishment (like, stop receiving RP for Z amount of time, or not being able to join jobs for Z amount of time). Simple as that, if you join and don't leave before job launched, you should finish it.
