R*-Penalize Heist Trollers

they need to somehow enforce the level when a player can do heists, a few days ago i had a level 1 join one of my heists, i should have kicked him out but i wanted to complete the heist i was working on and earlier i had a level 7 join another heist i was doing and he worked out fine but the level 1 player kept getting destroyed.

I'd been happy with a level 1, better that sitting along in a empty lobby for an hour waiting... Who's to say they aren't a level 500 player on a new account, most new characters are.

What the heist needs, to do is not let people quit once the missions starts and once someone does quit instead of sending everyone to f*cking free-mode you should be sent back into that lobby mode (like in missions if someone opts for free-mode when you restart a mission they leave but you are sent back to the lobby), where you can wait for new players to enter the lobby. Heists would actually be fun to play if there wasn't so much time wasted going in and out of free-mode everytime someone quits and there was less of this sh*tty loading time..........

How the F for the computer to differ between deliberate and non deliberate??

We are not in 2525 where computers can read mind.

It doesn't need to read minds. Just differ who lost connection and who left via find new session. I think its hard for you in 1950.

Also I think it is a good idea. But more than 5 games maybe

Yea? Well, then i'll just unplug my router and won't receive penalty for bailing out of your team.

Lol. You need better strategy.

Or he could just not get so butthurt over a game...

Ok, First off I'm not "Butthurt", just annoyed.

And being a day 1 player, I've waited 1.5 Years for one of the most Hyped DLC's for the game.

I'm sorry if I'm annoyed by the fact that when it does decide to work, players purposefully f*ck it up.

i do know how you feel, a few days ago me and a friend of mine where doing a heist i was hosting and we had a troll in the lobby who kept cauing us to fail.

it got to the point where both me and my friend where both getting pissed at him!

i'd rather not be penalized when the 'leader' of the heist is acting like a douche an i decide 'not' to stick around <.< i joined one heist an the leader just kept calling people names an insulting them cause someone messed up. course it was okay when he did it.

or theres a member of the team acting like a douche, whom you can't stand but the heist leader keeps reinviting.

while it would be nice if people didn't quit early. there are plenty of reasons to do so that shouldn't penalize you. people play games to relax. not to be insulted by some weak minded individual. or annoyed by someone who has yet to grow out of the "i'm the center of the universe" phase of childhood.

Some random thought it was cool to change my payout to 20% while he gets 80%. I was set on ready at 40/60, he then waited like a minute, then quickly changed it before clicking on continue.

Did the Fleeca job with him, drove the Karuna into the ocean when we were heading towards the chopper. Restart, drove the Karuna into the ocean again. He quit after the 9th try - he had patience.

Each time the Karuna went hurtling off the cliff I screamed "Here's to my beautiful 20% payout" over the mic!

well how about the turning table ( re-balanced ) for leader ?

they can reduce 0% cut , i ain't work for free if that kind of penalty is implemented

Don't worry. They are people who troll us :). When you made a threat about It they get "Butthurt". Maybe they are some sort of other trolls. But we know they don't know the game ;)

You know what I'm talking about, right? The Randomers that join in acting all serious only for them to either

A) Leave the Heist

B) Commit Suicide

Last night, 8 times in a row, I went to random heist (join lobby). I got put in Fleeca Lookout 8 times in a row. 8 times the host launched before I could quit. 8 times I had to listen to Lester. 8 times I had to sit and watch an idiot drive the car slowly, crashing and going the wrong way.

So, yeah, on the 9th time the host launched Fleeca, I threw a Molotov at the car. Then selected quit instead of restart.

Same the 10th and 11th time.

My lesson? Give joining players enough time to decide they want to join. At least, give them 5 seconds to buy armour and ammo. You launch as soon as the heist is full, and you are annoying at least one player.

I'd wait for invites, but honestly the invite system is just terrible.

Well set connection issues aside, because we all know this problem is out of our control for the most part ..

Players leaving a heist by choice after it starts have to click the x button (Ps3) to confirm ....if a player does this then use a cool down type function that wont allow them to accept any invites or host a heist for 24hrs real life time

also players who die a lot to fail a mission or destroy the objective ...after the 2nd or 3rd time, do things could be done.......1. use the cool down timer i referenced above 2.start reducing stats for that player and require them to rebuild it to a certain level before rejoining a heist.........

Yes i know sometimes we all die and we all can fail during a heist, but 90% of the players who want to do heists dont keep screwing up over and over......if you say you are in that 10% who does, then you can do a couple of things to say out of trouble

1 is learn to play better...2 put on a headset and tell your teammates where your having problems, good team mates will help you out and keep you off the asshole list

Rockstar, penalize these players further than a threat to be kicked into BS.

Anyone that's found using the Commit Suicide button more than 3 times in around 30 Minutes(During a mission) will have money taken away from them.

Anyone that leaves a heist will have cash taken from them and anyone who constantly does this (5 or more times in an hour) will be put in BS.

PHXVQfe.gif

1-there is no "commit suicide" option during missions.

2-with such sh*tty servers, in like a week we will all end up playing in bad sport.

Solid Scorpion

If I remember right Metal Gear Online 2 had this system in place.

If you left a certain amount of matches within a certain time period you got a 45min ban.

I think the work-around's were they'd get one of their buddys to flood their ip's or pull the string out of their dial up modems so it didn't register as them quiting.

Damn I hated that community almost as much as this one ;)

Anyways point being, if R* put a system in place to distinguish between quiting via input and disconnects, and punishing the guys who quit via selecting it, they'd just find a work-around.

so by this "logic" 99% of the people would end up not being able to complete the EMP delivery in humane labs or doing the pacific bank finale in a very long time, those 2 have high failure rates, so they would have to wait 24hours before tryin again...

good business model!

I know what everyones thinking, why don't you play with friends?

Well

A) Friends have gone to next Gen

B) Friends no longer play GTA

C) Friends aren't very good at GTA

D) Friends aren't online at the same time as me.

So I'm stuck with randomers. I give them 20% so they can't complain about the cut.

Please Rockstar, I'd appreciate it :)

Again confused as to why you address Rockstar here!?! These are NOT Rockstar forums and people associated with Rockstar don't come here. Do you not have the balls to cry to Rockstar in "their house?" I'm guessing you're short bus special; if someone leaves a heist without finishing it they receive a warning message that if they do it too often they will become a bad sport. Maybe you should be nice to people so they will be your friend and not have to do heists with randoms!

Also, how do you definitely know some Rockstar employee doesn't come and snoop around?

There's a log in anonymously feature for a reason you know..

Yeah, because it's not like the invite tells you what the heist your being invited to or anything...

Or that if you joined a random heist, you would care which one you joined...

Why even bother joining the heist lobby if you're just going to leave immediately?

R* could fix the trolling if they wanted to, all they have to do is add a Heist completion % stat along with a % mission completed stat,

There are randumbs out there who spend all day sabotaging missions and heists,

The host would be able to kick the Trolls in the lobby before starting a mission or Heist

I agree. Something should be done about this. Its R* crappy matchmaking thats to blame. When the player leaves a Heist why the hell are we thrown into free roam. Why can't we be put into the matchmaking lobby 2 find a new player. This type of stuff ruins heists. Especially for casual players that don't have time or patience for the long ass wait times to restart a heist. I think R* should pay bungie or COD developers to create a proper matchmaking system that searches for players. Rather than sending invites one by one. They sure have the money. We know that much.

lol Was hosting a hiest with randoms the other night..

2 other players that joined for level 9 and level 22... 4th Player joined, he was level 142, His words "Oh f*ck this low level sh*t!"

lol Must say, It did make me laugh...

After 40minutes of waiting, i decided, as the host, to end it, it was never going anywhere magical.

I understand your frustration OP but If I have to retry a heist 10 times, I will quit out on the 11th since its never going to happen with said group.

but then again...

how would the system be able to determine if im deliberately quitting or sabotaging the heist or if im just laggin and getting booted by the magnificent cloud servers?

im sure my % stat would be below 50 due to all the disconnects.

heck the other day, i was doing series A with some randoms, amid mission there was a huge lag spike, the entire world disappeared, i falled through the ground for a couple seconds before the "unknow network error" screen pop up.

booted back to SP... when i go back to gtao, i was welcomed with the message "you have left a job recently bla bla bla bad sport bla bla bla"

Yeah i think they should just let the heist continue if someone quits and if the remaining members pass it, the take gets split 3 ways.

All heists and missions should be level locked to level 100 or higher so noone can play co-op modes with less than 100% armor and health. All PVs should have full armor, or be blacklisted from missions. If anyone fails a mission, then all players lose 500k and have their second character completely reset, unless you can submit video proof that the failure was not your fault, within an hour, and your secondary character stats will be restored, but all cash lost.

Or, you could play with people you befriend and complete Criminal Mastermind in two full heist runs. OP needs to make some friends. New friends.

I would not be opposed to a voting option on the players you just played a mission/heist/etc with. Thumbs up if you would play with them again, thumbs down if they were a troll/etc. Could match-up players better with randoms, by only auto inviting people with similar ratings. Trolls would get other trolls and be trolled in their own Heist....pay backs may be enough to get some trolls to give up being idiots. If they wanted to get more specific you could vote a specific offense and if enough votes on that offense go towards a player then they would serve a penalty.
