Please Help Me, Gang Counter attack [PS2/3]

Recommended Posts

Okay, so is there a way to recruit enemy gang members when they are attacking your territory? I heard a lot of people saying that it's an easier way to do the territory glitch, but I can never do it. I play on PS2 Classics version (on PS3) if that helps. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

During the gang wars Drive a "Sub-Mission" vehicle:

Ambulance

Firetruck

Police Vehicle.

Pimp Mobile,

Taxi.

When you get notice of a counter-attack start the sub-mission, then cancel it. No more attack.

Also, saving the game will stop the attack.

I use the Police Motorcycle.

This method is much neater than messing around with recruiting of anybody.

Thanks for the tip, but my question was because I'm trying to take over all of the territories and in a guide I was reading it said that killing all enemies but three, recruiting Ballas/Vagos and taking them to a zone like Pershing Square and killing them there is an easier way to do the glitch.

IIRC, this strategy would require using a recruit anyone cheat to recruit Ballas or Vagos.

I don't recommend using cheats to take over all turfs, even if you love cheating and have been using cheats all along. There's an art to this glitch, and doing it the hard way is part of what makes it fun. A lot of new information about this glitch was learned only a few years ago; old guides may not be giving you the most accurate information.

There is. Using one of the anyone recruit cheats, walk up to an attacking balla/vago and punch him. Quickly, as he steps back with his weapon pointed away, recruit him. He'll continue shooting at you with none of your armor/health being depleted. He won't get in a car with you; he'll pull you out of one though. Nonetheless, CJ will say "lets roll, homie", or something similar, along with the rivals blip turning green.

The thought of recruiting pedestrians puts me off; the thought of recruiting rivals is extra off putting. This reminds of people taking antibiotics which kill their friendly intestinal bacteria only to end up with oral fungal infections like thrush. Heck, I don't even bypass the dance to get the music van because it requires killing a friendly.
