NEW PC SCREENS

Well like someone pointed out, it's the LOD. Every game has it. For me it only becomes a problem when objects and textures stat popping up into view as you get closer to them.

That kind of stuff drives me insane on Skyrim...very immersion breaking. I'm not sure if that'll be a problem with V on PC with the detail distance slider maxed out or not.

But Rockstar might use tricks to try and hide the pop in...like fog or smog just before the point where objects and textures would start loading into view.

Thanks to the extra polish time Micheal's face has been enhanced with detailed pores since the last set of screenshots. Pre-ordered.

Goddamn, look at that foliage. Especially in the scene where Trevor is on his dirtbike hiding from the cops. The forest will actually feel like a forest. f*cking beautiful.

wow those look AMAZING

my gtx 780 is feeling very inadequate.

i have no doubt those screenshots (except maybe the one with trevor near the fire) were taken without any special mods. running the game at that setting would likely cause a meltdown though.

The 780 is still one of the fastest card in the world, it's fine! If you're having trouble, upgrade around the card instead. =)

It needs to be April 14th already.

You guys should know that Rstar are the king of bullshots. Go back and see if theres still shots of the last gen console versions pre release. Have loads of AA and seriously look like pc quality.

That's only true for console screenshots that are taken from during development, homey. You guys get screenshots while the game is still being lowered more and more because things are being added and your fixed quality hardware can't cope.

What you see in these screens, is what you will get in the PC version.

This is the master version of the game. Like a DAT master in a recording studio, this is the "real game that was developed" - everything you saw go lower quality over development on the last and current gen, has been restored to the PC version, back to the original quality of the asset, before the consoles forced each thing to be lowered as more is added to the game around it on consoles - it's all there now.

That's why the PC master race is what it is - it's not about being "elite" or even about the players themselves at all, all of that stuff is poor taste and jokes. It's really about the master copy of the game - the full development, which is not hampered by console hardware and lowered more and more, and instead is only hampered based on what you need to set it to on your own rig.

"Things console-only players say" lol.

Nothing "elitist" about the master race, only in the joke world and noob realm when PC gamers who don't know this fall for the jokes and think they are better. We're not better. If anything, on PC, we're a mix of all levels of the game, from 360 up to PC, everyone will be playing the game on every settings we've already seen, and few will turn it up higher. In the real world, it just means master copy, the real game, before it was optimized for fixed grade set top boxes.

Master copy ends up on PC, the only place their entire development can be realized. So, the people who get the master copy, are called the master race, and it's turned into something else now, either for humor, or for malice, but it's not real. The real thing is the master copy.

The motion blur in some of those SS are ridiculous. Just like Crysis games. Sweet. :D

My only hope is that when I run it on minimum :( on my laptop it will still be decently playable. Do you think the graphic will be slightly worse than the one on PS4 ? cant wait to find out.

This screenshot has a lot of Chromatic Aberration to it. I am personally going to minimize that effect from my game. Not a fan of that stuff.

I actually like this effect for some reason, in my eyes it looks good, I just hope that its an actual legitimate effect we can turn on or off ingame and that they didnt just added it with Photoshop.

Yeah. If you're seeing things like that in real life, you should go see an optometrist and checked for cataracts.

It already exists in the PS4 version. Look at the rooftop and trees on the bottom left corner of this picture: http://www.rockstargames.com/V/screenshots/screenshot/1000-1920.jpg

These screens are really frickin good looking! GJ R* :D

Btw: I'm busy building myself a high end gaming rig. The one I have now is only good for low qual games. But I don't know if I should get a 970 or a 780 TI or custom overclocked one? Any help will be very appreciated thanks!

Go for a 970, will last you longer and you can go SLI later.

Did anyone else notice the boat casting a shadow on the sea floor?

I think it's pretty neat anyway.

You think that will work? Ok thanks! But it'll take me a month extra to get everything then. I've done my math and it'll take me approx 3 months to get my rig done to everything.

Got my first job this week and they don't pay that good tbh. ±$190 a week converted from my currency :(
