It's not only just gimmicks that sell. In my opinion, GTA V was made and designed for, Next-Gen consoles. Everything runs smoother, the graphics are a lot better. There is no frame rate hiccups. Plus the load times are a bit shorter. Looking at it now as a Next-Gen player, I am grateful that they even released this game with so many features for PS3/360, but the fact is after playing both versions you will realize that this game was "made" for Next-Gen consoles.

 

The game lags and hiccups due to connection to players. Hence, next gen has more players which = more lag. Because R* does not actually let us play on their servers..Its all pretty much on us to hold this game together.. Which is why theres so many issues.

 

 

Last night i headshotted a guy chasing me in his car. he died 3 seconds later 5 blocks away. This is pretty much what next gen has turned into for me.

It was never this bad on old gen.

Well of course people are going to lag, due to people's Internet connections and Rockstar's servers. Lag in an online game is a given. I never said that Next-Gen didn't have lag. What I meant was, if say for example, you are driving in an Adder fully upgraded on the highway, the framerate doesn't drop due to rendering issues. Please read what I posted.

- Which is BS, Because there isn't nothing but sliders which I'm sure if last gen can come in with innovative customization games like Saint's Row. (Put down the pitchforks) I'm pretty darn sure we could handle a face molding as well as facial feats including, Face Pain/ Makeup Opacity, Hair Color. Age Marks and Wrinkle..

 

First Person View

- I couldn't and still cant play this game in first person, to save my life. It's clunky imo and odd.

- Why didn't the old version of gta get this?

 

It's not as if these things are hard to implement if these things were already thought out. Why don't we have these things and more?

 

Not to complain, but these things could easily be implemented in the Last Gen versions of GTA V

 

 

 

Not to complain? This is EXACTLY what you did. It's a remastered version of an already existing game. What the f*** did you expect? An entirely new campaign? Get over yourself. Play through all the heists in first person and you'll see. It has nothing to do with being enforced. It's awkward and floaty and sloppy and far from precise or fluid like you could expect from a fps. If it controlled like a more polished fps might with its movement and everything it would be great, problem is it's not.

 

"Enforcing it" would just make people dislike the game.

Rockstar is in cahoots with microsoft and sony, and in order to boost console sales along with their own sales, decided to make crap like what you listed, new gen only.

 

I dont care tbh, im fine with playing gta v on my ps3 for the next 5 years til gta 6 comes out, and i dont plan on buying a ps4 until a couple years anyways when all the issues or probable issues with it are worked out.

They stuck a camera in the face of what has traditionally been an awkward 3rd person game anyway. If GTA didn't have so much going for it then the clunkiness of the controls would stop most people playing it. And before anyone tries to defend it, please stop and think about the number of times you've ended up running in circles just to get on a ladder or some stairs. Other games aren't like that. GTA has *always* been like that.

It's hard to tell what's going on with his, but that doesn't mean we're lying about our connections. lol it could just be his console.

 

 

I've had a couple of days here and there where there have been connection issues and I've been kicked from sessions regularly (and by that I mean about 5 times in a weekend 10 hour session). It's been mostly smooth sailing though, as most players I've discussed it with would agree.

 

Some people have the word "No" ready before you've even started answering. F*ck em. They're not worth your time.

R* does not supply servers for us to play on. So lag is just gonna happen if you connect with someone with a sh*t connection.

 

You cant have a good connection to someone with a sh*t one. Which is why im calling BS.

 

Don't bother - that guy is convinced that he's never wrong. If you even vaguely disagree with anything he says then you're instantly *insert any derogative term here*.

Its on a mass scale.

 

Connection issues are big deal in this game due to how R* has NO actual dedicated servers and piggy back off players instead.. Just sift through R* support and see for yourself.

 

 

 

Hell even R* keeps trying to put out updates that fix this.. But instead make it worse for people who actually have good connection

Go play a packed 30 player race with traffic on and then tell me there is no connection issues with this game.

 

lol I don't waste my time with a 30 player race, who even does those huge lobbies? All I know is I haven't seen as many issues as you apparently.

Of course then he calls BS just because we haven't seen much lag. A few people complained about connection last week, but the server was having issues. It's been fine ever since. It's hard to tell what's going on with his, but that doesn't mean we're lying about our connections. lol it could just be his console.

 

 

I've had a couple of days here and there where there have been connection issues and I've been kicked from sessions regularly (and by that I mean about 5 times in a weekend 10 hour session). It's been mostly smooth sailing though, as most players I've discussed it with would agree.

 

Some people have the word "No" ready before you've even started answering. F*ck em. They're not worth your time.

 

Yeah, there were a few days like that, but I have had hardly any issues lately.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Well 30 players = More Chance for sh*t connections to cause problems.

 

 

 

 

More players with sh*t connection simply means more problems over all.

I myself have a great connection. My friend does to, but when he uses WiFi he teleports around.. Using a wired connection has fixed this for us. But thats another story.

 

 

 

There's not always 30 players in a session. I've seen a few of those session and even then it wasn't too bad. Few people lagged a little, but nothing major. Idk what the problem is with yours then, maybe console.

We are forgetting the fact neither Next Gen consoles have backwards compatibility... So for us to play this great game (great enough for you to visit a dedicated forum for it, before anyone crys) we NEEDED to buy a new copy, the fact it has ANY new stuff is absolutely fine by me.
