Me seeing destructive power of any kind...if not used directly or indirectly against things(or people) i care about simply make me feel alive more.

OP clearly has no understanding of what he's talking about, or he'd know that violence in games does not subdue the violent nature of *actual* violent people. Only a strong mind or real violence can do that.

 

This just sounds like an attempt at either sounding like a psychologist (to make them feel clever), or like a psychopath (to make them feel tough). Either way, they just sound like a dweeb to me.

Or an ex heavy acid user that cant feel things right and is stuck on anti depression tablets but finds happiness in video games.

There are plenty of other violent games to play if you feel GTA is not reaching up to your expectations, I do feel sad for you since our country does censure or outright ban some violent games (Hotline Miami 2 for instance).

I see this as a means of stress release. I'd NEVER do this in real life because I can tell the difference between reality and fantasy. That said killing and blowing up stuff that looks like real life is a means to be evil without...being evil. heh.

I've met a lot of Americans who say the same thing. I think it's the influence of the NRA in the US, dripfeeding the idea of killing in self defence being 'normal'.

 

American Soliders have the highest suicide rates of any Armed forces. They think taking a life is easy. It is not. The human brain is hardwired to not to cope with it, otherwise the human race would not have survived.

 

Playing a game, watching a film, reading a book, daydreaming, playing paintball, the brain knows its not real. Ask any solider whos deployed or policeman whos discharged his weapon, it affects you deeply.

Perhaps you should just look for an outlet other then GTA or any sort of video games, help yourself confront with the reality of it. That might just help you go through this. not true. in some case's maybe. most people exposed to violence especially at a young age. tend to see some violent acts as just another day.

That's why I insisted on saying "most of" because personnaly I know plenty people like this, and I've been exposed to this aswell. Fortunately a dear friend of mine made me understand, quite drastically, that I was seeing things wrong. Anyways OP should seek help or confront himself to his demons there ain't no other way around it. And yeah btw. drugs or medication are not helping.
