The heavy outfits are an option for all the really heavy combat missions aren't they (e.g. most of the Humane Labs setups, attacking the Merryweather convoy)?

I'm one of those guys who prefers the option where you select clothing that Rockstar gives you (the one that isn't host selection or player saved outfits) because with Player Saved Outfits, I can never wear anything good except the clothing I'm wearing when I start or join the heist, because otherwise I'm just walking/running around with some huge "VINYL COUNTDOWN" or "HOMIES SHARP" print on my damn shirts/jackets.

You can't just start a heist and not look good doing it. What's the point if you can't look stylish?

Can your character wear the valentines DLC clothes from last year? I haven't see anything like that yet, it would be great for a whole team to dress up as 20's gangsters and roll around in a Roosevelt doing a bank heist.

Since a lot of people don't have (or at least use) a microphone, that's their way of saying they want to play that role during the mission.

I am not entirely sure why the Timer needed to be 5 mins ... surely 2 or 3 mins would have been sufficient and mitigate against people who are endlessly unable to make up their minds or simply AFC.

If you are not familiar enough with the outfits to quickly put something on that you like you should probably just click "Ready" first THEN start trying on clothes.
