Supah Paulie
I have an idea for what can make the world and overall gameplay of GTA V more immersive. Now I know that there's probably somebody else out there that may have thought of the same thing I did, so just to be safe, I won't stake a claim on this particular idea. So without further ado, let's get started, shall we? I would like to improve the environment of the state of San Andreas. What I think would be really cool is being able to do anything that a normal pedestrian could. Things like sitting on benches, chairs, having photoshoots, chatting with each other, sitting around a camp fire, sunbathing, selling or buying hotdogs on the pier, jogging, playing instruments, and this last one may be kinda weird, but being to use payphones. I guess that's just the nostalgic part of me... Anyways, all this stuff (aside from the jogging) could be activated by pressing the left analog stick twice. I remember being able to use idle animations when I played Saints Row 2. It was always a lot of fun. I also feel like if this were in GTA, then your friends could play a game to blend in with the environment and the other guy to find you in the crowd. You could also make movies and stuff... I don't know, I'm just brainstorming here... Another really fun thing to do would be to work at various stores. Perhaps getting a job at Burger Shot or Cluckin' Bell, where you could have your own outfits and uniforms, maybe you like flying or shooting, you could join the military. Maybe you just wanna live the life of a virtual truck driver with a various assortment of trucker hats. Maybe you'd like to join a private army and become a member of Merryweather. Maybe you'd like to deliver pizza on a scooter or maybe just become a hobo. I know that when I worked at the valet job in Los Santos, things always went pretty smoothly (with the exception of that one time I had a bounty on me). All of these are just some job ideas that I'm throwing out there, but I know that with the release of all these bright fangled dungarees and fancy outfits being released, you can already be most of the things I mentioned. However with this, you'd actually be able to live that life... or that virtual life... Either way it just sounds fun. If any of you have any ideas, feel free to share. 007_eleven and Kafonix

thebreak
I can get behind doing more things with the environment, but I doubt many players would actually do those mundane jobs. The Sims has that covered.
Bluezman
I agree with where you are coming from. I sometimes like exporting cars for Simeon because I can do it solo at my own pace and it feels immersive as opposed to some of the missions where idiots in pink shorts and flip flops show up in a Super car to do some contact mission. I can easily make more money per minute doing other stuff than exporting cars but some of it does not feel immersive such as being paid to do a parachute jump. So, while I probably wouldn't sign up for a job at clucking bell, I think I would enjoy more idle animations and just being able to partake in mundane activities for better immersion..
