Daily Objectives> Free Roam Only?

Daily Objectives are a real easy way to make money without grinding missions. But some tasks feel really forced and almost pitiful. For example, play a roun of a tennis. Before the update came out, there were very few people who played these but now you sometimes have to play tennis or golf or (insert game mode here) and even more so, you have to find specific lobbies!such as "Kill a Revealed Player". With Heists out, it's hard to find a death match, but now you want me to find a SPECIFIC Deathmatch.

IMO, Daily Objectives should all be in free roam to encourage play there with all the Heists and what not. What are your thoughts?

It doesn't tell you to play any specific jobs, only job types.

Daily objectives all in free roam? No way, free aim lobbies are always full. It's goal is to encourage players to try different modes, what IMO is a great idea, even if it doesn't work very well. Good matchmaking would sure help.

You may have mistaken what "Kill A Revealed Player" means. That's not a specific map, or type of Deathmatch. It's simply asking you to join any Deathmatch -> Call Lester, once started, and tell him to reveal the players to you. At that point, all dots/blips will show up on your mini map...kill any of those dots within the reveal time. And bang, you're good to go.

As of all the other mini game tasks, I've kinda enjoyed them. I have ran into a problem, per se, with one of them...that's the participate in a One on One Deathmatch in Free Mode. Not many people particpate in those...it's hard to get a player to imvite you into one and not many players accept a 1v1 when you invite them. I had to send out text messages to randoms to see if they could help with it.

I think one of the goals Daily Objectives Is to get players to try things they've never bothered to do ingame. It's a good idea to get people out of free roam more but the matchmaking still isn't there to get people to consider being open to joining jobs more often in the future.

i have yet to complete any theres always 2 things like no big deal i'll do then one i don't like or don't wanna do. Parachuting fine. Tennis fine..TDM..pass. or play golf with atleast 4 people for 9 holes ( i haven't seen this yet so i dunno if there is one like this but) <.< its like yeah...not happening o.o i can't even find people to play a full set of tennis -.- luckily the 'tennis' thing only requires playing 1 game and not 1 set. i'm not a PVP person so i always ignore those objectives -.-

I enjoy doing them. Easy money and you can make money while doing them. Gets you trying different modes too. Wouldn't do captures before, or survival. And rarely deathmatches. But ill do them now and I'm enjoying it for the most part.

It helps if you have friends willing to help though. Things like impromptu races or 1 v 1 for example. I'll do those with friends rather than try my luck in freeroam. On the flip side though, if I was in a public and was challenged to something like that I will likely accept now. They may just be doing their daily objective.

My only gripe is getting people to join if hosting a job/race based objective. Either wait forever to get just one willing player or spend forever finding the right thing to join. And the stunt jump one.

I know you can do impromptu race during contract missions and heist setups. Most of the times people race to destination anyway...

No, I know that but a lot of DMs have minimal on. So I have to lobby shop a lot

The 1v1 deathmatch in free roam was a nightmare, killing their 1 guy and him killing me too, constantly inviting him over and oven! Nope. No one even knows how to accept them I think.

Yeah the one for a 1v1 deathmatch in free roam sucks. I flew around in a jet killing people because normally that always gets people to ask for a 1v1 but nope, nobody did in over 50 kills.

If I'm having trouble, I ask a friend.

Yep, some objectives are complete BS. They force you to play completely dead game modes to get some of the daily objectives. It's horse sh*t. Most of the time my friends aren't even playing GTA, so how the hell am I going to gaurantee getting someone to play golf, or arm wrestle with me? Especially if I don't have very much time to play? The daily objectives shouldn't be based upon something that requires other players in a dead/overlooked game type.

That is the whole point. If it was easy then they might as well just deposit $25k everyday we log on for doing nothing.

I have done all those things you mentioned no problem, with randoms. Only thing I had to get a buddy to help with was the 1v1.

If you cant get it done, then you dont get the money. I dont see the issue, it seems like people just want the easiest money possible with no work.

True, the money shouldn't be just handed to players. What usually makes me not want to complete certain daily objectives is the sh*t matchmaking. It's almost impossible to get randoms to play certain modes, like Capture. For the most part, not only will there not be enough players to start the match, but the match may bug out and won't start, or someone will have that problem involving taking forever to join then suddently dropping out, making impatient players leave in the process. The amount of patience and luck you need to do certain daily objectives turns me off of the whole idea of completing them.

Well, that's been my experience anyway. With better matchmaking, I could certainly see daily objectives seem much less like a chore.

I mostly ask my friends for help with my stuff and I help them as well. It's called trade help for a trade help. Everyone wins and is happy at the end result. Makes the whole daily objectives that much better. :)

Captures are the ones you would be best doing the revealed players thing for even though they kinda suck lol

Jumping out of an airplane and opening a parachute has worked twice for me and this objective. Just get a lot of height so you know you have cleared 325.

I quite like the daily objectives - nice little cash bonus for things that don't really take much effort to do.

Except Tennis.

I HATE TENNIS

(or rather, I hate trying to get people to JOIN a tennis match, and then you have to play at least SIX GAMES before it counts... aaaaaargh!!!)

Actually, if you really hate playing a full set, find a friend who would be willing to play one game with, and then have them back out after that first game is won by someone. Worked for a crewmate once, as when I left, it registered for him (the non-daily objective person has to be the one to quit for it to work).
