It was included for heists themselves, but just now got added for the rest of the game modes. (Or at least for races.)

I just hope that it fixes the matchmaking and bugs even if its only a little bit. I haven't been able to complete the Prison Heists due to all the bugs.

Was added with heists. You can use snipers and RPGs now as long as you're in the back.

 

That was added before the Heist update, I thought it was just a feature the Current Gen (ps4/Xbox1) had by default.

I've noticed the 'exiting building' cut scene during heists and setups have either changed or new ones have been implemented.

Maybe it's just coincidence but logged in now to test and it was the first time since i've got the PS4 that i joined a 27 people lobby on FREE AIM. There's a huge war out there.

Also car damage is much better before it was disabled In the heist update much more deformation like last gen or even better

Wonder if it fixed the bug that caused inviting friends to a session to be disabled. Ever since heists dropped, when i try to invite friends to an "invite only" session I get the "disabled until both players complete the GTA Online tutorial. I'm lvl156, he's 168, pretty sure we did it once on PS3, and again before transfer to PS4.

It was removed with the post-hist patch to help alleviate the crushing load on the matchmaking systems and the sheer number of invites hammering my phone.

 

Now it's back. It was a good feature.
