Was added with heists. You can use snipers and RPGs now as long as you're in the back.

Same thing happening here. The only difference is that here it started from 0. So I'll have to wait 4 hours. It is probably some sort of problem liked to the PS4 update that was just released today. The heists update was 4.75Gb, can't be a coincidence. This is some major bullsh*t, having to download such a huge update AGAIN, cant play for 4 hours. HOW NICE IS THAT???

i got into gta. it said the update had been installed, the game says its on 1.25, what does yours say?

 

If I go into the information tab it says it is on 1.08. WTF???

That came with the heists update - if you're riding in the back of a chopper you can use all weapons -- including RPGS etc...

WTF! just downloaded the new update and went back online, Loaded in and my online character only to find he looks completely different facial wise. Looks nothing like the online character i did have!

 

Has anyone else had the same problem? and is there a way too change my character?

 

PURE SPECULATION*:

One of the issues they've had is a failure to load certain aspects of the character model, I saw this on PS3 when Hists launched in the form of my fine featured chinadoll girl faces turning to hard edged, large schnozzed, manfaces that reminded me of the classic picture of Sitting Bull.

 

This wasn't a permament change, but an issue with the models not being available when you'd load certain items (ie, the hist cutscenes). The actual base, saved, character model on the R* server never changed, it simply was missing a resource (or it would load the wrong resource) causing my Sitting Bullitis.

 

It's entirely possible due to load of people grabbing updates that you're seeing a similar issue to this. On last gen, the proper faces would be shown, respectivelly, in the "choose character" menu. I'm not sure of how that's implemented into the nextgen systems (I know the char creator is entirely different), but if it's the same, and your face looks correct at that point I wouldn't worry about a permament, saved, change.

 

In other words, it's what you're seeing but NOT what's saved. Your actual model is accessable only when you launch the character creator, and the saved model is safe on the R* save data servers.

 

So, you can open a ticket for a model reset with R* support; however I would advise waiting and seeing before you launch into a panic.

 

 

 

* - Not entirely pure, mind you. The current issue you may be seeing is pure speculation, but the scenario I've described is true based on prior observation of the last character model glitch, as well as a well formed theoretical defination of how the R* "cloud servers" work. I do not work for them. I do not have inside knowledge. I'm still probably more right than the Youtubz.

Parallax occlusion was in in the new version of GTA 5, Story mode and Online? Also why have they disabled it?
