Okay. Seriously. Yeah, it's awesome that this vehicle can withstand over 5 direct RPG hits. But honestly it ruins the beauty of the game in the ability to be successful in combat with many combinations of play style.

I believe one of the greatest things about GTA is that you have so many options of vehicles, tactical style, etc that make many different tactics effective in beating other players in deathmatches or freeroam firefights.

I find that often times I can do just as well in my Manana as in my Buffalo S.

Obviously, everyone could attack this and be like "Yeah hurdurdurbut the ZENTORNO is really just the best vehicle because fastest speed+bulletproof back+so expensive people don't like blowing it up".

Okay, sure. But I could still at least blow it up in a second if someone was trying to be a jerk and rear-end me with it because they lack real gunplay skill.

Now you have the Insurgent. An ugly, ridiculously bulletproofed armageddon.

And everyone's about to say: "but you can shoot through the windows! You're just a noob cause you don't shoot through the windows! Can you not hit the guys driving it??!?!!1?!!"

These people clearly have not had to deal with a persistent team of three+ people in one these that drives in front of/past you, because this argument doesn't seem to realize that the vehicle is damn near 100% bulletproof from behind, despite the fact that occupants can shoot anyone around the vehicle from inside.

I am not by any means suggesting the vehicle be nerfed to blow up in one explosion like a regular vehicle. After all, it is armored for a reason. However I think it would be completely reasonable to have the vehicle explode in 2-3 explosive hits (depending on location) versus the current ridiculous resistance which forces opponents to either pull out their own Insurgent or get in a jet or tank to compete- which in my opinion are silly explosive escalations which detract from what's really neat about the game by taking away the point of playing on foot/mastering and fooling about with the many non-armored cars the game offers.

Just my two pennies.

If we can trun every vehicle into a one hit rpg flop then sure otherwise hell no go earn one of your own. The tank is enough reason NOT to. I wish the Savage was armored as slow as that beast is.

I like it. At least it protects me from RPG spamming noobs who can only kill with explosives. Also I love to bounce them around in my savage :D

Auto-Shotty at the windows. Insurgent problem solved. No nerf required.

Consider range.I don't know about you, but I don't stand in the street when the Insurgent icons come my way. I take cover and force them into close range.

Usually, the very act of ducking down an alley causes them to move on, GTA players being the notorious cowards that they are (hence their rolling 3-4 deep in an armored vehicle and trying to roll up on the unsuspecting).

But if they do come ahead, the driver is ripe for the shotty, which stops the truck and sticks the passenger into a seat-changing animation, so there's a 2-for-1 right there. Then combat roll as it passes to break the locks of the passengers, point the gun at the side windows and hold the trigger down till the icon vanishes. Then prox the driver's door and move on.

If it's the pickup, obviously you can't be in the open at all, but three stickies will kill an insurgent pick-up (plus explosions can kill the gunner).

But really, the best defence is to just bail; those tricks above only work once, then they're on foot and are back to hurling stickies at you.

I'm not in favor of griefing or mismatches, but I am painfully aware of what happened to the Tank because of this crap - both the endless griefing and the endless crying; thanks to that we now have a $1.5m insult to the word "tank" that can be taken down by small arms, ie a weapon that tanks were specifically designed to be immune to.

The Insurgent is fun as hell. No one is forcing anyone to fight them. Just leave Brittney alone, I say.

Hail Sithis

Easy to take out if there's only 1 or 2 guys in it, but when there's 4 guys (1 on the turret and the other 3 shooting out in every direction with their ap pistols/stickies), it gets pretty annoying

I blew up one of those today with about 10 stickies, I know it probably takes less than 10, but I threw 5 on the front of my insurgent, rammed them, drove off and loaded another 5 and came back around to get them

Was pretty damn fun, not gonna lie

Sometimes I wish they had BP windows too, but then I think of how much worse they would be to play against xD

Stopped reading at ugly. This guy is obviously just mad. Get over it or go into passive. It's rly not that hard to take one down =( especially if you have your own or a friend with you.

going into passive won't blow up your console you know.

If you're trying to take an Insurgent out by blowing it up, you're doing it wrong. If you have cover, you can EASILY take out the driver and gunner.

Hell, even without cover it's not that big an issue as long as you're paying attention and they don't surprise you.

The thing is made to be grenade proof, why the f*ck would they add the Dartz Prombon without being grenade proof? It would defeat the f*cking purpose of it being in the game when it can be blown up with a single grenade.

Insurgent isnt very expensive for one. Two, simply aim and shoot the driver until he is dead.

Tonight was the first night I really tried out the Insurgent.

I bought my own with the gun, and baited people with it by letting them have it to see how easily I could take it out. And, idk, probably 85% of this games players are retards, 14 year olds, or a combo of both. So most people aren't very good.

I found that most people were very dumb when it came to traps. I would run in a car park, drop 4 stickies and a proxy mine right at the entrance (It detonates itself, I figure it has better timing than I do detonating stickies on my own, and it's strong too). Basically everytime, they fell for that trap and died. Then on top of that, you can shoot right in the window.

Next, someone had their own and was griefing other players, so I decided to go pick a Lazer up. I apparently killed the gunner with my cannon, and the driver lived. After that, they hid under bridges. I guess they knew a Lazer was the only other vehicle that had a fair chance of winning a fight. But then when I was on foot, they also fell for my car park trap, and raged quit.

So yeah, I don't see the problem here. Learn how to use stickies and sh*t and how to flank and trap them. I wouldn't risk using a Savage, Valkyrie, or Hydra since they are like fine china. I tried a Hydra and got dropped quick as f*ck. Even though I'm really good at a Lazer, I just can't work with that hunk of f*ck Hydra.

Traps, flanking, Lazer. I found 3 ways to f*ck up Insurgent users tonight, and I'm sure there is many more. Just like there were dozens of ways to kill tanks and whatever else before they got nerfed, but crybabies didn't feel like actually f*cking with it and having to work to kill a badguy, so instead they cried and got the tank reduced to nothing. So yeah, go work on ways to take out a Insurgent, and learn some strategy, and stop f*cking crying. And lets not forget, your average player isn't too good. It's not hard to kill someone like that. Go work for it.

Thank f*cking Jesus they didn't touch the Lazer though...

People so stupid here...

Those who are spoiled kids killing EVERY player on the lobby with their chrome cars: NO, DON'T NERF MY FUN.

Those who can't kill the aboves: NEFF IT NOW

Can't we have common sense and think about the game balance itself?

It should be balanced in a way that the player can be killed without getting you KILLED 100 times before you shot the window. Is that easy to shot the window? Send me a video showing how please? Because I'm too "noob" to learn it by myself (I never got killed by one, this is just a ironic phrase).

For me, the game should be like: someone kill you using the insurgent or kuruma. You respawn, take your weapons/car and go getting your revenge. At this point, you should be able to kill the guy, period. Is not working or it's too hard? So its unbalanced.

When you see scores like

100 Insurgent Drive x 0 Guy

It's unbalanced, period.

10x7 = Balanced.

Please, now get out of your confort stupidy and think about the game balance, not just about your sh*tty pants.

Apparently some people do not know what balancing is. Balancing does NOT mean that a single guy with a pistol should be an even match (or even a close match for that matter) to four guys in an Insurgent. The latter have the numbers advantage and an expensive piece of technology designed for that very situation. They should flatten the single guy at every turn, because anything else means they suck big time. If four guys in an Insurgent beat one guy on foot that is balanced.

If you coordinate four guys on foot to meet the four guys in the Insurgent the match is a lot more even and there should be quite a lot more kills for the pedestrian team than for one of them alone. Still, the four guys in the Insurgent should have an advantage, because they are still using the mentioned piece of military equipment. So, if four guys in an undamaged Insurgent beat four guys on foot that is balanced.

Now, how hard is it for four people in an Insurgent to match four people in an Insurgent? Even match? Good. Now let's put each of the four attackers in their own piece of military equipment. Let them perform coordinated attacks with Hydras, Savages etc. Do they now score a lot better than the guys in the Insurgent? Yes? Good. Balanced.

You have to pit equal vs. equal to check balance or adjust your expectations accordingly. If you pit underdog vs. huge favourite and act surprised or enraged when the favourite wins you have no business talking about balance.

If the Insurgent was weaker than it is now it would be unbalanced, because then it would be just 4 kills for the price of one. There are good and mostly explosive reasons that you usually do not see four people crammed into a sedan in a combat zone.

Learn how to shoot OP. The windows are not bullet proof and the gunner is totally exposed.

I reckon the OP runs around in an armoured Kuruma (which is a piss-take compared to the Insurgent) and got shot out of his by someone in an Insurgent.

I wish it was harder to kill. I wish it had explosive cannons on the front, controlled by the driver.

Then I may actually want to buy one.

Right now it is just a big box on wheels begging to have people attack it. It is an unarmed vehicle, and people want it nerfed? When or if R* starts doing that, it will be the beginning of the end for Online, at least for me.

I say, make everything tougher, more difficult, more expensive, smaller payouts, and level lock every damn weapon.

I agree with you, four guys against one guy should be a almost WIN-situation always. However, 4 on car vs 4 on foot should be a fair situation with a slight advantage for the car team (they can kill easily, but the 'on foot' team can split up and make it harder while they are all together inside of the car). This is balanced, but how often you see that at lobbies? Because what I always see is two friends having fun in a car destroying the whole lobby so easily.

As I stated before, I don't get on these fights unless I have my friends as well to destroy the guy properly (and when I do it, I keep doing that until the guy leaves the lobby and brings peace to everyone).
