Falling out of vehicle

At first I thought while turning my hand may have bumped the triangle button on my controller causing my character to bail out of the vehicle, but after further inspection my character falls out of the vehicle for no reason. It seems as though it happens the most when I'm accelerating and turning. Since my character fell out of his car during Over the Hump I'm almost positive that this is some kind of glitch seeing as you shouldn't be able to exit the vehicle during the race.

 

Is anyone else experiencing this? Your character falls out of the car just as it would if you were to hit triangle.

nope never had that happen, you sure your exit button is not sticking a bit or maybe kinda broken?

Yeah. I'm positive. Happens with two different controllers. I've looked and cannot find another method to exiting the vehicle other than triangle so I have no idea why it happens.

I thought I was, but I can have it happen with my index finger holding in R2 totally away from triangle. It happened during a race too. After that I was hitting triangle repeatedly and my character wouldn't leave the car. It is some kind of glitch, but not sure what is triggering it.

I had the exact same thing happen to after an update on PS3. Lasted about two weeks and then stopped.

 

I also thought it had to do with cornering.

Yes. PS3. Happened a few times with 2 different controllers as well. Glad to see I'm not going crazy

It seemed to start with the heist update for me.

 

I turn the camera as I'm making a turn so I am not turning into something blindly and it happens the most then.

 

It happens in helicopters as well.

I would be running away with a bounty on my head and go to quickly go around a corner and end up jumping out and getting run over or shot.

 

Granted, it was really the only ever real issue I had since release and don't even bring it up in the many thousands of complaint threads on these forums.

This happened to me sometimes when I still played on the Playstation 3. It happened mostly when I honked the horn. Ever since I upgraded to the Playstation 4, it hasn't happened to me a single time.

Is it safe to say this is a playstation glitch? I never had this happen to me on 360 or the one.

This has happened to me, its 1 of two things

1. modders on last gen can kick you out of your vehicle

2. your controller is broken, when I first played GTAV with my 5 year old DS3 I could never use Franklin's ability out of fear of myself leaping from the vehicle at high speeds, same when flying in planes and retracting landing gear.

Yeah this is a first I'm hearing of this. If my friend told me this, I would have thought the same thing.

If it's PS3 then it could be your controller. There is a known problem out there where pressing a certain button will also trigger the triangle button. I fixed mine with the help of a youtube tutorial about a year and a half ago. You just have to open it up and tape something I think. I'd look it up for you but I'm on my phone and cant be bothered. Google that sh*t though.

Me too, PS3. I thought my controller was going bad from wear (which it is anyway). But I have not seen this for some time.

Tonight I only fell out of my vehicle twice.

 

Instead, it kept going into cinematic mode. WTF? I know for a fact I'm not touching the O button on the controller. Happened 4 times from 9pm to 1am.

 

At least it is better than falling out of the vehicle and then having to chase after your car. I guess that could be considered an improvement.
