Depends on what player you are. I am a DM type of person so this stat can be pretty good to give some people a scare but it doesn't matter much. This isn't a game focused on shooting so no.

On Topic: In all honesty, it provides a gauge. It's not always accurate in telling whether a player is good or not when it comes to PvP, but it's more accurate compared to simply going off a players rank in most cases.

Your KD ratio could be 0.20 or it could be 20.20, you don't unlock anything either way, and KD ratio has never really mattered in any game that has it.

yes K/D has the up most importance in a game where the majority of players are using AUTO-AIM. free aim i could see K/D having some kind of point. also do not forget there are players out there who keep their K/D low on purpose.

bullsh*t, Your KD has only to do with the way you play this game. When i use jets and tanks all the time, i would probably have a 10+ kd. When i play a lot of deathmatches, my kd would probably under 2.0. When i'm a pussy, kill only noobs and avoid good players, my kd would probably 3.83. or higher.

The thing that's broken about KD in GTA is that GTA isn't ONLY a killing game. It has racers, roleplayers, adventurers, collectors, etc. It's a game that isn't strictly for one type of player. I have a 4.6 KD ratio, yet I haven't even touched a PVP game mode since last gen and really only do public free roam when goofing around with my crew.

I could give a rip what ur KDR is, I'd still be willing to bet most of the people who think it matters suck at the game and use either glitches or other cheap ways of getting kills.

It's a good estimate of how good they are. It doesn't have a massive purpose, but it does have some purpose.

 

Majority of the entire gamebase has a 1.00 and under. The extensive freeroam playing and messing around has given people bad KDR's, so it's not always a perfect gauge of how good they are, but with some it is. Mines 1.60, and I rarely see people higher than that.

Mine is laughable, but it really wouldn't take me many kills to double it. I just couldn't care less. I'm not into blowing all my money on freeroam battles.

 

It is fun to splurge on them every now and then, and when I get a huge "purchase all ammo" bill the next time I'm on a mission launch screen I can just laugh about it instead of cry.

Bet you play aim assist full and are terrible at DMs etc if, you can only grief spawning players on free roam haha!

 

I have crew member with a similar k/d that is just like you. My k/d is 1.25, and guess what.... I kill him more than he kills me.

 

Only reason why yours and others like you have that type of stat is because you grief players aren't ready for a fight and you can't people head on in combat.
